just to illustrate to everyone about bar direction, i would use the setup bar below for a long as it has closed above ma and cci is >50 even though it is a down bar.
i'm not aware of any rule that contradicts this please correct me if i'm wrong.

post 2355 from Divergence talks about setup bars (although for 123's) where he mentions it must have "mo" (movement) - it is also in the various PDF's kindly written by RCWSO which mentions that the bar must be in direction
This is why I assumed it was a valid rule of the system - apologies if I have misunderstood

no worries john.... i cant find any mention of direction in the pdf or that post so not sure where you are looking.
It works for me anyway trading it this way, so i guess its up to indivdual choice on this one.
thanks MeLe, i thought that was the case but wasnt 100%.
I suppose it does add a bit of security if the bar is in the direction you want to trade so no harm in being extra cautious if you want to people.
