I bet the 'Aussie' nationals are loving eBay right now! better enjoy while the Aud is this strong ...

But besides that, adding to my short position here and turning off this trade from my vision, just going to check it in a week with large SL just in case it decides to not behave.

Aussie will still never fall no matter what happened in reality !

China's tightening, even bust is not a matter to Aussie!

Japan's disaster,even the most severe historical 7 level nuclear disaster which will put island nation -Japan another lost 10 or 20 years is not a matter to Aussie !

Whatever happened to China and Japan -the 2 biggest trader parter, is not a matter to Aussie and Australia real economy!

Even billions flood lost and going down real Australia Economy is not a matter to Aussie!

Although millions Australian not only lost their job ,but also their home in flood, is not a matter ,The jobs report is ok!!

RBA is independent ! Sure to make Aussie independent to reality and Australia real economy too !

RBA will absorb everything , hike the rate ,not cut the rate next month to make Aussie and carry more insane HISTORICLLY !!!

So keep longing ,This is Aussie Carry Trade time Historiclly !

Nobody really care about what's happening in Australia reality !

Even The RBA !!!!

Carry trade is much more important than EVERYTHING ELSE !

Be VERY careful in thinking the AUD will hold. There is a lot of data pointing to a stable economy....... BUT

 

  1. mortgages and finance is slowing
  2. retail is starting to fall
  3. property prices are stabilizing
  4. mortgage defaults are on the rise
  5. RBA has hinted at a hold on interest rate rises for the short term.

Even the government has stated it has to cut spending due to lower corporate tax income. This is not to say the AUD is in trouble. Fundamentally i don't think there is much more on the up side speaking in the short term. Take the data as it comes and assess accordingly.

The AUDUSD, in my opinion, may have reached its peak levels for some time as a cluster of 2 Fibonacci extension levels may prove to be too strong a resistance point.

From the weekly chart you can see that the AUDUSD pair has reached a Fibonacci extension level of 423.6% of the January 6th, 2009 to February 2nd, 2009 drop around the 1.0585 level.

From the Daily chart if you take the Fibonacci levels over the December 31st, 2010 to March 16th, 2011 drop, it is clear to see that the Fibonacci extension of 161.8% around the same area at roughly 1.0590.

This clustering of Fibonacci extensions indicates a firm resistance level for the AUDUSD and may see the Aussie take a pause from its recent gains and even may see the Aussie experience a trend reversal.

Breaking news eur/usd aud/usd , Gbp/usd faulter after MAS Announcement to re-centre exchange rate policy band


The logic being that the shifting of the band will reduce the need for ACBs to intervene in USD/Asia and thus will reduce the need for them to buy EUR/USD, AUD/USD etc.
