..., entered on the break of that candle, further confirmation and a safer entry 2 candles later with a no demand bar. Pulled out at the squat bar.

Comments and critique appreciated.

Did the same..pyramid in on the confirmation of the no demand bar.. good one NP!

After the squat bar, 2 bars later, on the down bar I placed a very tight stop loss just above the high. It held, but when I saw a moderately HV shake out bar and the next bar close level on lesser volume. I hit my exit there...surprise surprise..almost in line with that squat bar...

Took this trade at 12:30 ish, gmt. Just exited. Upthrust into 15 min trigger level, then another upthrust later on to retest the area, immediately after the upthrust a test candle low vol, entered on the break of that candle, further confirmation and a safer entry 2 candles later with a no demand bar. Pulled out at the squat bar.

Comments and critique appreciated.

The bar you have marked as a test is actually a hidden test or a ND as it is an upbar with a higher close than the upthrust. Also the UT is not confirmed until the second bar so based on that the ND you mention is the better / safer entry. The bar you mark as a squat is quite high volume for the spread but is an upbar which should show you that buyers were met with sellers and by itself would not be an immediate reason to exit. If anything if the low of this bar is taken out it could provide another short entry. The exit from this however could be that we had a wide spread downbar closing on it's lows followed by an upbar showing that there was hidden buying in that downbar... the fact that we had all that effort to rise on the next bar however confuses the fact since we obviously found buyers but they seem to have been met on that upbar.

Edit... the ND also printed below the Hull and it appears to have the same high as the highest volume upbar to the left (2 bars before the first UT you have marked)... ND into a trigger.
Today's zone = Tomorrow's opportunity!

Hi Malcomb,

I have been focusing on GU for a while it seems that we might test 1.70 region soon, but do you think that before that we might go down to test the monthly Gann?

Perhaps a long entry at 1.0498 on audusd 15M if I'm not wrong (breakout after shakeout in an uptrend).

Hmm ... I'm showing the biggest volume into that upthrust EU just had; that would make H1 finish as a wide range with strength. So, I'm suspect - they might be selling into it - will be watching. (Similar spike on GU)

Important to note that NY has an impeccable record of buying this thing up, from this point on and into the afternoon. And IMO weakness just isn't there in H1 or higher IMO. Just getting back here after hours of absence, but I think part of the downmove was ECB's Draghi's temperment comments? More speeching though to come from Stark at 17:00 and Weber 21:00 GMT.

EDIT: EY and GY M15 printing/acting like further declines are forthcoming.

I think that's the way it was produced ... as an example, the last 2 pages 17 and 18 show blank boxes where it's described charts should be. I use FoxIt Reader because of it's much smaller footprint over the honkin' Adobe Reader, but the view is the same in Adobe Reader 9.4.3

RBumbalough, Can you confirm?

Suspicion confirmed. I was very premature on my sell, but purposefully placed it just above the previous high and open, pending future failure; but the marked bar confirmed it, and the previous high held it.

In the time I've marked this chart, was going to say we head to POC 4436, and we're just there! Neat, that it was a quick failure through the DPP at 4456. Now, let's see if a prev low at 44203 holds - beyond that POC and psyche number 4402 is next.

It will be interesting if we have a down day on the euro; it's Wednesday only and the opening was 30 pips north of here. Notable too that it and S&P is heading down through the normally optimistic lunch (12-2) period; could be one of those bizarro days where it's doing the opposite. (Yes, a Seinfeld reference )

Nice failure of the ES as well ... if you're not trading it and applying VSA & trigger #'s there, give it a spin. Looks like 1300 coming up. I love it when correlations align.

Hey pres thanks for the guidance, you seem to have it nailed. Can I ask is there any other reading materials/ resources you have found helpful for vsa other than this thread and master the markets?

It would be great if I could grasp the charts as well as you do.

Many thanks
