The problem people have, I think, is, there happens to be so much information about forex trading posted that is free for the asking, that why would someone pay for information about forex trading. After a few years reading and practicing I became a successful trader. I think anyone with the determination can do the same. Depends on your willingness to spend the time and effort to figure out how the markets work.

I mostly agree with your point here, harrington but the learning curve can be brutally steep in terms of both time and money. I think a good mentoring/coaching program can be worth it's weight in gold. We're aware of some private forums whose numerous members swear to their effectiveness.

For aspiring traders the challenge is finding a service run by individuals who are, first and foremost, skilled profitable traders. No less important qualities are honesty and integrity. It's a jungle out there and smooth talking hucksters with slick websites are a dime a dozen. Exercise thorough due diligence and choose carefully.

I saw one with a guy in a convertible. He was driving down the road at highway speed, shifting and steering, all the while pitching his product. But his hair never moved, not one hair--not even a little. I always wondered how he did that..?
Yeah I remember that one too. Some wanker from Ohio if I recall correctly.

Yeah, monkey. That was bill's way of poking a bit of fun at one of the most hilarious forex promotional videos ever produced.
I've been going through Mouteki's videos lately, and am amazed at how the market moves exactly how he says it does. I'm actually making money at last with minimal stress. Someday I actually see myself in overall profit, and that's because I've now been taught, for free, how to use the free tools on MT4, without resorting to trusting a myriad indicators.

I visit his website, and all I see are lots of free videos with the absolute essentials of analysis. I haven't seen a request for money in there. Maybe once I've watched all the videos ten times I'll start reading the print and find one, but so what if I do.

I'm just eternally grateful for now knowing how the market works.

I've got to say though, that Mouteki's voice did distract me for a few days, wondering who the hell he sounded like. But I got over that once I realised he shares the voice of Phil Laak.

I looked at his new website, and i guess he stopped the forexgemini service that he started 2 years ago. This was a service you had to pay a monthly subscription fee for.

Is he still utilizing the forex gemini method these days ?
From what I saw last, he seems to have moved away from the fibs, and trades on trend lines and channels and 12, 50 & 100 EMAs. Personally, I'd use these as additional aids rather than the whole system, but I'll be happy to watch that space.
BTW, fiber and AUD/USD seem to be obeying the fibs in both upward and downward directions at the moment. I can only gauge through sentiment that fiber is heading down while the latter is heading up. But what do I know?

I've been using a price alert lately to let me know when price is getting near Support or Resistance, and have been making some good trades.

Let me know if you'd like to turn this thread into the mint it should be

Same here. I cant imagine why this thread died out or why it has recieved so much criticism. I am so excited from what I learned from Mouteki's videos I have goose bumps. I'm finally trading without indicators and no longer have to guess when to get in and out of trades... "to the pip people!" Hahaha I love it!

Hi Flava.

I know why this thread died out.
It's because although fibs can be deadly accurate at showing you where price turned, the use of them alone will not tell you when price is turning or where it will turn.

Fibs are a fantastic tool in trading, but should only be used as part of a confluence of tools.

In order to trade consistently profitably, you should have an intimate knowledge of Price Action and the perceived value of the instrument you are trading (otherwise known as Supply/Demand, or Support/Resistance).

So my advice to you, now that you have this valuable tool, would be to go learn the principles of the above over at the James16 thread,http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=2331
and once you've learned that thoroughly, move across to the Price Is Everything Thread where you can fine-tune your skills

Before you go, here's a fib I used a lot before I started trading naked.
It has all the levels you should need, both inside the 100% and the extensions. Paste it into the templates folder of your platform.
It's based on the fibs by Bobokus, hence the name of one of the targets.
