BTW, those trades you see are only .5 lots, not 5.0 lots. MBT does lot sizes different, so a little over 1000 pips but i need to stop talking smack and get back to live trading. i like to put my money where my mouth is. that's where the rubber meets the road.

thanks for the alarm. however my eye spot you have USDCAd as buy pair.

however i believe this is not correct. USDCAD is a sell pair. you can also see this in the backlog on 1 hour. whever the green goes up. USDCAD is always below the bottom yellow line. the only 1 that is in minus. and GPDUSD should be a buy pair.

as per julius his rules.

also 1 question is it possible to make an alarm on dashboard, when it goes from Long to short and from short to long? so we can experiment with opening complete baskets?

I'd like to start a discussion about group trading and tandem trading here, and would appreciate lots if others with good experience can share their knowledge.

Let me start off by saying I've got the trading all 14 pairs down to the point. However, when it comes waiting for my basket setup every week, I have lots of idle time and would like to use that time to either study or trade the groups/tandems. I found out that I am completely useless when it comes to trading these.

This is my analysis on group (USD, JPY) trading, after reading through many posts from the BTS threads.

USDJPY: When this pair goes up, USD is stronger than JPY. Therefore, buy GBPJPY, EURJPY, and AUDJPY. Similarly, when USDJPY goes down, sell GBPJPY, EURJPY, and AUDJPY.

USDCHF: WHen this pair goes up, USD is stronger than CHF. Therefore, buy GBPCHF, EURCHF. Similarly for the downside.

I've been demo trading these groups this week and have lost on all of my trades. I believe it's my entry, that I'm too late, or I'm too early and I close my positions before it goes into profit. The most a trade has ever gone into profit for me was 20 pips, but then it reversed back into negative 30 pips in a couple of minutes. Trading for 20 pips during my spare time doesn't seem like it's worth it when all I do normally is wait for a basket setup that will yield at least 500 pips.

Is there anyone that has traded the groups successfully, on a longer time frame, and has made on average of about 50 pips every trade?

As I've been searching all over the internet for BTS teachings from Julius, I stumbled upon this on his blog. He said that the group method containing EURUSD and USDCHF is not as effective.

To optimize this group, he included the pair EURCHF.

USDCHF: when this pair goes up, USD is stronger than CHF. Buy EURCHF and sell EURUSD. When USDCHF goes down, sell EURCHF, buy EURUSD. Julius and his group even developed a stochastic indicator (I believe it's called the 3-amigos) for this trading. I'm not a coder, but I doubt it'd be very hard to code it.

Using this logic, the above trading group can be applied to groups such as USDJPY, EURJPY, and EURUSD. USDJPY, AUDJPY, and AUDUSD. And so on..

With respect to my own experience to trading the tandems (jumping pairs), and the groups, I have no clue which time frame is the best.

I've experimented on trading daily basket open, 4hr, and 1hr on Orest's indicator. The trade where I made 20 pips but subsequently went into negative 30 pips was made on the daily. I would think using a higher tf to trade these it would yield at least 50 pips, but I haven't encountered it yet. I think trading on the 4hr basket on Orest's indic is good enough as I see pairs often move 60-70 pips on average. However, I need guidance on the entry.

Therefore, if anyone has traded jumping pairs or groups successfully, please advise which tf is optimal and how to time entries. Thanks!

You are correct. I do not know why it differs from trader101's pairs as defined on page 1 of his thread. The dashboard was made a while ago - might have been an oversight or there may have been a reason for it. Looking at Orest's indicators, he has the pairs the same as I do.

Either way...I'm sure some thorough testing can determine which setting is best. For now, I'll leave it as is and allow each user to change the pairs as they desire.

jump pairs are difficult to trade. but it can be done. you'd have to catch them when you have achieved the perfect line up. then when 2 opposite colors switch places, then you can trade them. you get out if they retrace 2 slots from the slot you entered on. but you'd need a separate perfect line up alarm. maybe we need that too on orest's EA and the dashbaord.

Hey Hazel, I will try that out. I've read that before from Julius but must have somehow slipped my mind.

I notice you use the Samir daily indicator so I assume you trade the jumping pairs when you notice the perfect lineup on the daily basket open. However, have you tried trading off the 1hr or 4hr from Orest's indic when the perfect lineup occurs? I don't use Orest's EA. I still have Orest v1.15.

The main question I have is on what timeframe do you find that trading the jumping pairs is most effective?

I will only trade the jumping pairs if it's worth the time. I don't want to be looking for 20 pips when I could wait and get 500 on the basket every week. If you get at least 50-100 pips trading these, please share your knowledge!! lol

The last days were very unusual for JPY since the nucliar problem. But never think that USD and JPY are possiitive corralated.

You have to check firsd the corralation of GBPJPY and GBPUSD, fe. If you have a good positive corralation (R>80), then go on.

Another thing. If you check the table at H1, then do not expect to have 500 pips.

And the last point, I will be happy to see your results for the last month, using Julius method. Thanks.

I read 70 pages but I have a hard time understanding with google translate and it's very very hard you understand :-).

I find the concept of this method simply brilliant, no indicator miracle etc. .. Brief exactly what I'm looking for years.
So as you read this line I also found that most players were friendly and ready to help novices of this method.

I wonder if a person fully mastering this method could explain it to me in a word or pdf file with copies of screens so I can well understand it and tell me what indicators, and others and I shall use script because there have many I am a bit lost.
I am sorry to make this request but I must understand I do not speak English and I do a lot of effort but it's too hard to translate google there are plenty of words which translates spineless to say anything.

How much M1 data do you have for the symbol you attached the script to?

For online charts (EURUSD M1 for example), you would simply add the RangeBarScript1 script to the EURUSD M1 chart and it will create the Range Bar chart for you.

I'm like this script but I'm not sure if this is a bug or I don't understand range bars

Some bars on my chart are bigger than the number I entered for the barsizepips value. In this chart I use 10, but some of these are almost twice as big as that, is this normal?

I'm sad that nobody wants to try to explain this method with simple words and what indicators, scripts and Others must use to stay in the basic concept of Trader101.
I do not think that adding a lot of indicators improves the basic concept of the contrary.
I use google translate and read dozens of pages and it's very hard because you use lots of abbreviations that google can not translate.
I will say, however that without people like Jukius, Orest etc. .. Would you like me in the dark so put your ego a little aside and try to help those who do not understand.

I mostly trade the 8 pairs, but I also trade the original system now and again.
I often trade the "jumping pairs" mentioned in the pdf, more or less in any case.

The reason for posting the pdf is so that panthere can first understand the original method before going onto the dozens of other methods.

  1. study this system
  2. digest this sys
  3. pick a couple of indicators from this thread( 2 are enough ,NOT more)
  4. watch and test it for 1 year ,take notes
  5. build your own sys,you must be confident and stick with it

Is there anybody here knows why the T101 original IA (using a demo account as the indicator) would always end up in profit? I setup an IA last November and when it become in profit, I would close everything and reopen with higher lots.
