As so many are taking the div 1-2-3 trades i was wondering if we could have a few ideas about what div's seem to be more successful - other than the fact that they should be at the end of 5 + waves.

For example, I wouldn't take much notice of a divergence taken over three bars on my chart - but that is just me.

The reason I am mentioning this is that divergences are all over the chart and divergences that don't signify a change in the trend can easily be found. I expect a little more scrutiny on our part in highlighting aspects of those that work better than others may be usefull.

For me, the 123 after the divergence was the key even though the divergence was only over 3 bars. If the 123 pattern breaks down after you spot divergence, you know you have to look for new divergence and a new 123 setup.

As Divergence himself says - after 5 ways they are more likely to signal a change in trend.

The bigger the divergence, the more significant it has to the chart - unless there are numerous in a row. Once we have 3+ in a row we can expect the trend to change soon, and that a divergence eventually will 'work' and signal the change. After numerous divergences in a row the size also probably matters less.

Often a divergence will occur just before a hidden divergence, which will signal a resumption in trend. If the hidden divergence (reversal) signals a resumption in trend, then it also signals a failure of the divergence. In this way it can be said that a divergence will often just signal a hidden divergence rather than a change in the trend.

These are just my initial thoughts but I would be interested to hear others opinions.

I have a div finder on my chart so i see div's all over the place - and i am hence wary of them.

In one of his vids Div said his favorite 123 is the one that returns you to the trend. And divergence on the charts is not needed, but just more evidence of the trades potential.

So, althought divergence is something we would like to see on all of our charts, it's not necessary.

Too much congestion here for my tastes. Volume seems thin as well. Holding out for clear break and retest of 1.4170 area. Not all of the bulls believe the trend is changing.

Just a little confused but as per Div's rules isn't the CCI supposed cross the -50 on the short trade set up bar. I was just wondering how you entered the trade. Thanks

yes, entered as per rules, my cci was at -185 when i entered.. (pic was before trade had finished, just to show entry)
