that's exactly what i was thinking...

i'll wait till NY morning to set my buy limit order...if price stays around this area, then a possible shakeout back down to 4080 is still in play...after all its only 80 pips from here...and a typical NFP shakeout is about that 80-100 pips...

I wanted to tell you Thank you! and how excited I was when you started this thread! I have been a long time lurker here at FF. I was losing interest with all the new spins on old ideas, old concepts. I personally feel that back in the day, when there was no vol. info. As readily available, as it is now, the old “classic” indicators were more of value in analizing the market. Especially, when the math was done long hand, before the rise of the home computer. IMO that was very “analog” for those times. Well, we are in the digital world now, and a lot of traders are still used to a “analog” way of doing things. Again, this is my opinion, I hope I didn’t offend anyone, because I have gotten so much in education, and info from all the fine folks here at FF. As a trader I have evolved and its good to know Im not the only one. You can’t ignore Price Time or Volume. I still look and use “new spins on old idea indicators” but with the proper tools. I am trying to get away from them

I always look at low vol. areas, and see how it fits in the “Context” of current Price action. So, I remind myself that Low volume areas are what? areas of “lack of interest” A Place where no one wanted to do “business”, when price gets there its often (not always) rejected rather violenty. I always think that a low volume area is a place where no one wants to do business. Then I look at “context”.

Just to prep before European open...

Asian opening suggest some responsive after subdue open-test-drive follows by auctioning..

Price have since move above IBH. If upside momentum persist..VAH could be the target...prior to NFP

PS: Both pair is showing one-time-framing to the upside...(higher lows)

I think we managed to learn some knowledge about market profile and try to make some pips out of it.

I want to know how many of you increase your account size by 15% to 30% since Jan 22?

If you do I would appreciate you can share your conviction, your view and your prefer strategy in this ever changing market.

Agree, i use that definition too to understand what is "Low Mode" or Low Volume in MP language. Thanks for your explanation sis..

I've made about 11% since Feb 1 with this knowledge. By no means perfect as I still make many mistakes, and still get scared out like yesterday , but my trading has improved many times over lately. Plus i still only risk at most 1% per trade so much room for growth...

11% is great jamie, if every 2 months consistently you increase your account size by 11%, by the end of the year that is about 66%.

I wonder any fund manager can increase their client account size with that speed?
Buy after i saw price rejected around "Pocket Of Low Volume" level 1.4153 (yellow line). First target is POC 1.4185 (Blue line).

I wanted to share some MP stratagies & info Ive found around the net. I highly recommend reading "Mind Over Markets" "Markets in Profie". Ive been studying MP for a couple of years and just havent had the proper tools to actually apply it properly. These are basic MP set ups. They work in the proper context. But remember to try to use in context. If anyone is interested I have both books (stedielmyer too) on pdf if anyone might be interested. If its not against thread rules.

GU's opening indicates auctioning 1hr prior to European open..

Long on break of IBH (6065), target to 6100 & near VAH & 6125, risk at 6050

(If price hit VAH or above it, then another unfair high opportunity to short)

Just too early to tell for me with regards to AMT. My strategy did not really change prior to AMT actually. I think i just use it to ascertain the probable direction & trade accordingly as i access the opening, base on asia & european market prior....

I am comfortable with it...but NY session is not my forte so i seldom trade this times unless i have a good reason to to so...& I tend to revert back to Wyckoff analysis instead.

Wyckoff is the next thing I want to study. supply & demand is as important as volume. Other than "Daytraders Bible" and "Studies in Tape Reading " can you recomend any other books or info I should Read?

To be honest i just don't find it usefull...

What i did was read Hank Prudent documents umpteen times& apply what i know with VSA & that simple e.g from lascavel's post...

Stare at all the the stock charts i know & extrapolate to forex..

LTG archives helps too..

MZvega when i started posting in FF was in VSA thread & i posted some reads in almost real time..u may wana check it out.

the pocket of low volume still working as support area... love it very much, it's like play pin ball...
