Thank You Divergence. Yesterday's presentation was the best yet. But don't don't let it go to your head and go all "Hollywood" on us.

Rcwso has prepared pdf's to help guide us through the process of getting it right. Awesome work RC, Thank You. Sharing is what this thread is all about. We could teach a thing or two to world leaders by our example set here.

Lawton, and I, are still working on preparing videos to post to Vimeo.

I've finally (really) figured out why (Much Thanks to Lawton for all of his Help) I was having sound problems uploading new vids to Vimeo. We are busy editing yesterday's webinar and will have it posted to Vimeo soon.

friday, i have 4 valid (i think) setups..

am i over trading here or it was just a good day ?

edit: trade #3 seems to have a divergence just before..but still 3 trades this day, isn t too much?

continuing my quest for sharing and laziness.....

I allways mix up the rules for divergence in my head, especially when trying to think quickly (even with a cheat sheet), first there was the retracement finder, now there is the divergence finder...

Pics below, but quick overview

Will find divergence based on RSI (period in parms), it can show regular & hidden divergence (regular divergence solid line, hidden divergence dotted line).

You can choose to have the divergence based on fractal highs & lows, zigzag highs & lows or BOTH.

The divergence lines will allways be plotted on the indicator window, it is optional if you want to have them shown on the main chart.

Parms:-

xi_Period - RSI period to use
xb_Use.Fractals - use fractals for highs & lows
xb_Use.Zigzag - use zigzag for highs & lows
xi_Depth - depth parm for zigzag
xi_Deviation - min deviation for zigzag
xi_Backstep - backstep for zigzag
xd_Min.Diff.Osc - minimum difference required on the oscillator (RSI)
xi_Min.Diff.Pips - minimum pips difference required on price (this is PIPS not pipettes/points)
xb_Show.On.Chart - show the divergence lines on the main chart as well
xb_Show.Regular - show regular divergence
xb_Show.Hidden - show hidden divergence
xb_Show.Historical - show historical divergence on load-up
xi_Historical.Bars - max bars to show history for (more bars slower initial load)
xc_Bullish.FR - color for bullish divergence (fractal based)
xc_Bearish.FR - color for bearish divergence (fractal based)
xc_Bullish.ZZ - color for bullish divergence (zigzag based)
xc_Bearish.ZZ - color for bearish divergence (zigzag based)
xs_Obj.Pfx - unique prefix for objects created on screen

NB. hovering your mouse over a line will also tell you by its name whether it is hidden / regular and also on what basis (fractal/zigzag)

Use the trendline button in MT4 (just make sure you set ray to false)

Divergence is trading only the first few hours of the NY market and first hour and a half of Asian market. So that's going to limit your number of trades.

Most of yesterday's webinar is now on the vimeo site. I won't be able to load anymore for 2 more days. I have only a free account @ vimeo, and am limited to 500mb weekly.

I make the videos in hi resolution so they appear as clear as possible. The uploading process does take it's toll, however, on the vids quality. Keep watching for all of Div's webinars which will be posted asap based on my weekly vimeo mb limit.

Reminder; These videos are a good learning tool. However, no amount of video's can replace studying this thread, starting at the beginning. If you haven't re-read the beginning and pages 100-120, please help yourself and your trading potential by doing just that. The price is right.

Say you enter a trade and last swing was only 10 pips back ,so you set a stop of 10 and TP of 10. I know the rule in managing a trade is to set SL to BE when you're within 5 pips of TP. Do you still set SL to BE when you're up 5 pips. It seems like that wouldn't be giving price enough room to move and a stop out at BE would be a high probability. thanks
