Are you trying to trade larger timeframes?

If so, the rules that Divergence has set are for 5 minute timeframes on the EU. I have looked at larger timeframes and to be honest, the rules may not apply 100% of the time. How far from the 10 SMA can the set-up bar be, 2.4 pips or greater? How many pips above or below the set-up bar should you enter on, 1 or more? Should you even be using a 10 SMA?

Not to be a jerk about this, because it is not my thread, but Div, very early on, asked us to keep discussions on this thread to the 5 min charts. I don't think he minds other pairs but he asked us to keep it to 5 min charts.

I too am wanting to learn about other timeframes, but am researching and studying that before I will blindly use the 5 min rules.

Another thought, I am not sure that the rules work 100% of the time for some of the pairs that are more volatile or have larger spreads.

You're welcome B. I've been lucky enough to see aurora borealis twice myself. It kind of leaves one speechless. This video does an unbelievably Fantastic job or capturing some of Natures Finest work.

By the way, Divergence 2nd Webinar is being uploaded as we speak. It should be available within 4 hours.

I am trying to find the post. It may have been during a PM discussion because I was asking about higher timeframes.

Either way, no big deal. Just don't want to start throwing different rules/timeframes into his thread.

if I look at the setup candle you mentioned, the high is more than 2.4 pips away from point 2 of the 123 setup. Am I right? Why did you take the trade then?

This is a trade I took on pound yen and it shows the benefit of zooming out. The white lines are the support/resistance which are not visible unless the chart is zoomed out. Amazing how what was resistance is now acting as support.

Thanks, below is the result - I don't know if these hours are correct - during both Asian and US session we have only 1.30 plus 3 hours = 4 hours 30 mins of trading. Best time for trading during EU session is not present in this version as it is not determined in initial pdf - I can add it any time, just let me know.

Colors are optional - you also should write in exact time zone for you during launching this indicator.

Currently it is set for time zone GMT + 1

You can see what time zone are you in double clikcking on windows clock at the right bottom of your screen.

for some that are wondering if this can be traded on higher time frames the answer is yes BUTthe indicators might have to be tweeked. The principle remains the same find trend wait for pullback find setup bar etc. So thats the frame work the backtesting and tweeking is up to you to find the right settings not only for the indicators but stoploss and target and orion the diffence on my charts was 2.4 if it wasnt i would not have put trade on

also learning there is a lot to be said for the actual MA ANGLES...trades with steep angles are preffered...

Same hours as E/U.
• Asian, 1st 90 minutes
• London sometimes as early as FF open for 180 minutes MAX. So if You do not begin until London opens, then I'd suggest only the first 2 hours.
• 1st 3 hours of US open.

Most other times you stand a much better chance of getting caught.
