ok i always enter at market because usually the setup candle is already heading in that direction so if we are going long and say entry bar high is 4166 so entry is 4168 which breaks down to 1 pip above high plus 1 pip spread going short its just 1 pip below low you might get slipped a few pippettes so just adjust stop accoringly thats all

So if the set-up bar closes at its high, you basically enter immediately. I understand that you are the one clicking the entry for the trade.

I was having a hard time trying to get a buy stop order in and would be off by a few pips and that can change the outcome by a lot on very small take profit targets.

Can you explain "slippage" to me? Maybe a basic term I should know but honestly, I am unfamiliar.

Hey Div...I use G*markets...an australian br*ker...PA moved thru the 1 pip above the previous candle fairly quickly...the slip was only 1 pip, not too much damage.

Rcwso, slippage is when you try to enter at a level but the price you get is a little higher or lower...it usually happens when PA is moving or jumping around a bit at the time of your entry....

ok setup bar is 4166 thats its high i want to get in 1 pip above that at 4167 but when buying the spread is built in right off the bat so my entry would be 4168 . Now when i click when price goes 1 pip beyond the setup bar at 4167 and i actually get entered at say4169 instead of the 4168 i got slipped 1 pip so all i do is raise stop up by 1 pip

ah ok...I had been leaving the SL where it was and increasing my TP by the amount of the slippage to keep the 1:1 ratio intact...good to know what you are doing..thanks Div

Yeah, I was doing the same thing which caused the take profit to grow sometimes. I know you don't trade other pairs, but when looking at other pairs this can make for some big changes on the take profit with slippage. Yes, I understand that as well.

yes move stop up 1 and target up 1 usually its just pipettes not a full pip

i agree now we can consentrate on FINDING THE TREND WAIT FOR THE PULLBACK FIND THE SETUP BAR WHEN IT ENTERS MANAGE THE TRADE AND FINALLY THE REASON WHY WE ARE ALL DOING THIS IS TO MAKE MONEY

I've managed to do a little "Hollywood Magic" on the video's. Robert Di Niro is cast as Divergence and Matt Damon plays me. Just kidding.

I'm in the process of shrinking the file size and changing other things in order for the vids to load more quickly. Given the type of website they're on there's only so much I can do.

All video's will be remastered by tomorrow, or later today, depending on "Where on Earth" you are.

I found this thread and i try it the last 3 weeks on demo.
i get some nice positive pips.
i like it, because looking for price and not for indicators is what i really want to do.

pls, anybody who feels that knows the answer firmly, shoot in, thx in advance.

here is USD/CAD. on 5 TF one might say - trend is up as off the pinky line on the right side picture. left one is 1h supposedly down, but thats just philosophizing about it, not my concern at this post, and i know the rule is to stick to 5 min tf only.

the Q is exclusively about ''set up'' and ''entry bar'' only, not about whether one would enter south or not as the scary pinky support line was there.

---- the entry bar would b the 4rd bar //1st set up bar,,,2nd possible entry passed,3rd poss.entry passed, 4th in//
is it valid entry? //the entry bar is 3.5 pip from ma, i know we talk about the distance for the set up bar mostly, i think//
pls. bare with me, english is my second lang. so if i didnt grasp it from written info. before, here is my excuse :-)
