The only thing I can suggest is that the first wave following the divergence is huge - over 50 pips i think (but am at work and can't check charts) .

I think I remember hearing Div say that he wants the first wave to be smaller than that - in the range of 20 or so pips.

theres something about momentum candles that brings excitement to trading the 735 trigger bar and a win the whole thing took a short time and then went to dinner what could be better than that

735 what time? GMT or EST? I am looking at those candles and really don't see what that would have triggered. Just wondering.

Edited: I answered my own question when I looked at 735PM EST. I am a 24 hour clock kind of guy so I was think in the AM. 1935 EST for you military/government types.

7:35 gmt. Could be divergence setting up on EU. Could also be end of wave 5. I'm not well versed in Elliott, but have a look for yourself. If it is wave 5 looks to me like it's gone almost as far as wave 3.

I'm not sure what divergence you see setting up, but Elliott Wave calls for five wave move followed by three wave corrections then another five wave move. If you count the movement down from 1.4012 to 1.3866 as five waves, then we have a three up, down, up since then. So either price will start down again soon and get below 1.3866; or, if price is finishing a wave three of five up, it will make a wave four and continue up and likely exceed 1.4012.

Hi, I've been following this thread from the inception although I'm not much of a poster. However I'd like to be able to give something back to any of those who may be struggling. Attached is a one page summary of trading this way. Doing it really helped me focus me on the key parts of this method and cut out most of the losing mistakes I'd been making.

If you you find it of interest please help yourself.

If I've missed the point and it's wrong - please shout!

I think caution needs to be applied when reading some of the charts especially the yen crosses as really big moves distort small time frame charts like the M5
