That explains the whipsawing. I do not trade wedges as they are congestion. Dont know how I missed the wegde forex101. Long term though I am seriously bearish.

By the way PeterE we have breakout in the euraud

Sold the eurchf and have just closed out for a profit. This will help to cover the losses.

i dont have a buy on EA until the 240 closes above the green line, 1.3970ish

In a way yes. In another way it wasnt. I resolved that I wanted to be short this pair. I almost didnt take the trade because of my last 3 tries that were unsuccessful.

But leapt in because I am learning to trust my system, to be decisive and ruthless and to hold trades. Hence my taking the trade.

However between you and me and all that read this thread It felt gooooood

The market is gripped with fear of the unknown.

us$ is strengthening as a safe haven currency.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Japan. Not only are they facing the effects of the earthquake, they also had a tsunami and now radiation. How much more can an area take?

It appears the selling has been too much and there is a bit of recovery going on.

The euro is recovering nicely the dollar index is retreating as well

trailed nzd/usd down to 120pip profit, stopped out earlier. will look to short again, will have a better look for an entry later.
gbp/aud still open, stop moved to 1.6175, hoping for a break above the daily range. will move tp and stop up depending on movement. if it breaks 200 day ema and sma would like to add. has already passed first two levels i had to consider closing so its worked well.
eur/ aud has broken through 200 ema, sma, pitchfork and upper tl i have on my charts

eur/gbp is nearing 2 major trendlines and also top of green chanel. yellow is on weekly closes since dec 08. red is the the dec 08 high- oct 09 high, tested and failed on oct 10.
have set entry to short at 0.8720, with 55 pip stop. plan is move stop to b.e. if it gets to 0.8660, keeping tp open and manually trailing stop, would be nice to see 0.8450 ish or better, a few places to reasses before that though
if it hits entry of course
