Hey guys,
I am looking at Alpari Pro so I can switch from my current broker. I satisfy the account size but I have the following questions for live traders:

1. Are the commissions and spreads reasonable in the Pro account?
2. Are the executions instant as they are supposed to in a STP environment? Any serious slippage observed (usually slippage should be both positive and negative for you)?
3. Are withdrawals easy & cheap?
4. Any advantages/disadvantages of the MT4-Pro versus the AlpariDirect platform?
5. In MT4-Pro do you really need 3 lot minimum size per trade? My normal lot size is above that since my trades are fast, but sometimes I like to trade in longer timeframes with 2 lots. Would that be a problem?

Please respond only if you are a live Pro trader, not Demo.

I have answered question 5 by calling them. It seems that 3 lots is strictly enforced, unless you deposit more than 100K where they may relax this rule (which beats the purpose since if you are above 100K you are probably trading more than 3 lots anyway....)
In any case, I am currently mostly trading above 3 lots so not a killer for me. I need your help with the rest of my questions.

I have two alpari accounts. Classic and a micro account. For last couple of weeks I was thinking about alparis spread. Today I realised interesting thing. Dont know you guys seen this. The spread in AudJpy was about 5 pips. but many other brokers its less than 3 pips even FXCM also 3 pips. Oanda and mb trading all were arround 2.8 pips. Any thought appreciated please? I am thinking is it best time to change the broker?
Another thing when I tried to withdraw some money from my account one day they replied me asking why my account has very less ammount of bids upto date. As I dont hv any agreement for a perticular amount of bids per months this cant be a problem to them?

I'm using scalping EAs on Alpari UK without problems last 6 months. Also I get 0,28 pips rebates with my IB
I have had a lot of problems with my demo accounts, now i cant connect to the one linked to my explorer thingie in FF. It was fun getting all that stats there, good overview.

I think it was 500 USD for classic, 200 for micro.

Takes on average 24 hours to get responses on support issues. So if you need to ask and get answers several times it can take a week or two. Sometimes they get back to you within 3-4 hours but that doesnt happen to often.

Demo accounts are subject to a lot of problems, classic and micro slightly less problems, but i get requotes and my TPs dont close at the fixed TP line sometimes. On average id say those accounts lags 2-3 seconds, even on TPs that is already at the broker, meaning they know when to close, but they dont.

Sometimes you cant connect to datacenter, sometimes you ping out, sometimes you just cant connect to your account. I was booted from my micro for 7 minutes with open orders once. They said they would make up for any losses that time, but it was just pocket change so i didnt mind that time, more hazzle to get it back then to just let it slide.

Minimum deposit is $200 or GBP equivalent http://www.alpari.co.uk/en/cnews/show/id/45/

Email support is piss poor to be honest. You will get a better response if you ring them. Having said that I have only had to call once in 3 years
I'm looking for ECN broker .

And I have a couple question:

1. For what account time I should search on your website to find ECN Account?
2. What is minimum deposit for ECN account?
3. What spread do you provide for EURUSD on ECN accounts?
4. What is commission per turn?
5. Why your ECN account better then all other?
6. Are you NFA regulated broker?

Answers or link to this information will be highly appreciated.

Since there are people here that have used ALPARI a lot, I was wondering if you could give me your advice. Would you recommend me to register with them?

I actually like the fact that they are based in the UK but I have seen some good and some bad opinions about them so I am 50-50 to open an account or not.

Anyway, between ALPARI, OANDA and FXPro which one would you reccomend me?

I used Marketiva when I first started out. They are a bit amateur and the trading platform is pretty useless.

Oanda seems pretty solid and now they have the option of using MT4 so maybe a good choice.

Never used FXPRO but did use North Finance which I think they used to be called. The were difficult to use. Lots of re-quotes, spikes etc.

For the last few years I have used Alpari UK. Only problem I had was when I couldn't close a trade and had to call to get it sorted. They reimbursed the loss and all was ok. Apart from that I have found them pretty solid.

Actually I have opened a demo account with ALPARI and looks fine. At the beggining I didn't know which plattform to download. I tried the Alpari Direct but I can say that it is very simplified and I just couldn't even change the backgroung of my chart.

When I tried the MT4 version everything was fine.

Have you guys tried the different plattforms that they provide? Which one do you think is better?

I am bumping my previous message to see if we can get some Alpari Pro users to tell us their experience. I am close to switching to those guys, but I need to hear from some of you first regarding the above questions....
Alpari seem to have a massive stall when you are trying to close a trade in profit but have no problems when negative

So far i am pleased with Alpari.
I noticed some quotation differences between the quotation of my EA/mirror trader and the alpari quotation. Don't know who is to blame, as i get the quotes from Alpari.
