Seems to be heading for 1.02, but what is the rationale, given that Aussie does has its shares of woes. I like to long this currency because of the roll over interest rates.

Typical AU action here. It always gives up any move it makes from good or bad news.

Looking at the weekly chart I say if the AUD still trades in 7 - 8 weeks from now on around where we are at the moment (parity) be prepared for a big move upwards.
By the way don't get fooled by the RBA move today just my 2 cents.

Cheers

Your chart shown resistant @ 1.018++. If you are already Long, I will take profit and run and may be Short. As someone already said, it has parity issues. Good luck man if you are going Long now!

Hi ET,thanks for your concern but since i'm a day trader
i'v been long this thing on and off for the last eight months,
wish i'd just held it.
I just like to see where we are at the end of the month,
this is a 26 month break out,i see support at 9600 but
i see no ressistance up here at all on this time frame,
every dip is being bought up.
Great swap rate, commodity backed,i will just keep
looking to buy dips i think.
You can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent.

I've opened a short position on AUDUSD @ 1,0185, SL 1,0220, TP 1,0090. Strategy is the same I've used before, looking for a retracement, as momentum has been downwards on MACD and also a little bearish divergence at sight. On the daily, looks like 1,02 has been good resistance so far.

Methinks this 55 pip daily range cannot hold. I am long, but looking at the chart I must admit that the downside (for today) seems more likely to break than the upside. We shall see!!!

Perhaps a final upthrust to shake out recent shorts, assuming average stop loss of 25-30 Pips .... that leaves us in the 1.0175-80 region, possibly extending to 1.0207 for a powerful shakeout.

The intrest junkies usally start to show up between 2-3pm est. We'll see if that gives us a push back up. Right now, it looks like we are just going to have a small range today. This is surprising given all of the news events we have had over the last 24 hrs.

Regards,

My long (from 1.000) is barely hanging in there as I have moved the stop up to 1.0115. Hard to believe we will not get a serious attempt to break 1.0200 before we get a big retrace, but it is starting to look like that will be the case. We'll see what happens.

Regards,
