...looking slightly better for the long than GU...currently printing a reversal from the 38.2 of friday's swing which is also today's pivot point.

yeah been watching GU, but decided to sit out... unless we have a break of fridays high at least....

this is my main concern with GU, looking at the bigger picture, of course if we trade through this may get a good run

Agreed, lots of supply there which makes me think it's a high probability touch point before being slapped down...will be interesting to watch.

yes, and all the fundamentals are predicting bullish gbp, suspected interest rate hikes etc... a trade back to the top is probably pretty good call.... still i have finally got to the point where i only trade my plan (taken me a long time) and seems to work

not much in the way of entries on Presidents day...

managed a trade on AU... took half off at tp1 +28, moved 2nd part to break even

nice start to the week, 2 wins on a monday

I took the same trade although I believe that the monthly bias is long. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

forget bias, trade the plan.... if you dont trade the plan you will forever be making mistakes trying to second guess the market...

set yourself some simple rules, rinse and repeat... imho thats the moley quail

Whats up D. You know I was looking at the USD/DKK, I totaly missed the trade. Pips were plotted wrong. I'll send a screen shot in a few.

Sometimes you wait for retracement but this time you took entry at the breakout. Do you always take the breakout or do you have other considerations that enable you to choose?

thats a good question....

i dont really have a hard and fast rule, on the breakout im always wary of the fact i know something like 80% retrace back....

in this instance, eu, gu, au and nu were all dropping like bricks.... with big candles.... so gut instinct told me this was a strong move and well worth the risk of jumping straight on (and it wasn't news trading..)

something else you can do is just take every breakout but never let them go negative, so move your stops up quickly.... but im really not a fan of tight stops, experience has told me thats just a recipe for a bad win/lose ratio...

Great trading on EU there, DL

I missed the Asian move (last night for me) but i see Friday's fib is now in play (blue fib) with the swing low now pierced...hopefully another decent setup on the way. edit: disregard the orange fib, redundant given the white fib is still in play downside.
