Seems this thread certainly stirred up a right ol' can of worms with some, can see for the life of me why, guess maybe some couldn't see the woods for the trees....

I mean the very thought that buying the break of resistance and selling the break of support is profitable is ridiculous, anybody knows that

Linear regression channel also works well with the fibs. I never have been able to use the gann lines well.

Many thanks for sharing this, DL. What price do you have for the weekly low?...on my charts last weeks' low was the low of the piercing, direction candle you refer to....at 3496.

edit - ah i see, it's the low from the week before...apologies

yes thats the one... i dont ever use the weekly candles, but i have the weekly seperators set up on my 1hr charts, and i look for the significant points of s/r.... so sometimes i may be looking at the swing over a week and a day... if that makes sense...

i will keep these longer tf fibs on until price reaches tp1 or tp2 (138 - 161 ext)

not sure why everyone makes a big deal out of this system, i find it very simple to trade, it has a high win rate and if you trade the right pairs very easy pips to be had

Makes perfect sense, thanks. Does the blue fib on this chart make sense to you? I've walked it forward within the current longer term white fib. The white fib is still valid as price hasn't hit 138.2 yet...the blue fib 61.8 and 50 are being respected but not quite to the pip...i like the look of a sell from these levels down to the wkly T1 at 3418 and then blue fib T1 @ 3378...thanks in advance.

yes sidefx i am in that trade, obviously the break of todays low would be good and we may well see that tomorrow...

but yes my fibs are in the same position, i wouldnt give to much wait to things being respected to the pip, if that ever happens its probably luck as much as anything.... although it does make you feel good

eu is a pair i trade a lot and I have noticed that price nearly always comes back to test the entry, like today for instance, very useful to know money management wise.....

you make it seem quite simple. you mind sharing your indi's and the rules? you've highlighted your wins mostly but have not explained your strategy. do you mind sharing your strategy and indi's?

or are the postings simply to make us aware that you are collecting pips?

it seems like you have a really simple strategy...you mind dropping some pearls of wisdom?

i dont have any indi's, they're all there on the chart for you to see...

all i can say is... its very simple... i thought the charts make it really clear what im doing...

maybe you are looking for something thats not there...

the whole deal is right there in front of you...


also, im not posting mostly wins... i'm posting every trade i take, when i get a loss i will be sure to post it...
