Connection drop.

You use the force indicator??? is it used for over bought over sold?
Ignored
well its a measure of exponential moving averages, with volume, its kind of where the majority is,
so yes to ur question
i analyse the candle patterns ,with dojis,if thats good, than i should have a confirmation with the force index, from the majority, but i dont use the force much, mostly just price action

the force just kind of helps

Is thailand included in this list?

How often is this Austrac list updated? Can you provide me with a link?

What made you pick the Netherlands vs other EU or UK jurisdiction?
Ignored
Hi,

We are now able to accept clients from Thailand. The list of acceptable clients is updated as and when required, for instance if a country changes it's money laundering policy in line with the FATF guidelines, then it is likely they would then be on the approved list of countries. It is not a published list, but something that our compliance advisors provide us with, so I can't give you a link unfortunately.

As for what made us pick the Netherlands, it is merely the first of many new offices as part of our necessary expansion to deal with our rapidly growing client base. We have decided to go into the Netherlands for a number reasons, but the fact that many of our clients reside in the UK, Germany, France, and the Netherlands means that we can provide them with a strong level of support. Also, the Dutch banking industry is strong and secure with many of the banks being among the most secure in the world. The Dutch regulator, AFM, is comparable in terms of compliance with ASIC and the FSA.

Cheers,
Chris

Thanks.

I had a related question. What happens if a country falls on the bad list. Are those clients banned altogether? Or they just open up a bank account in an alternate jurisdiction?

Unfortunately it all comes down to residency, so if you were living in XYZ and for some reason XYZ was flagged as being unsafe, then we would not be allowed to offer services to you. The good thing is that not many countries are going this way, and many countries are coming in to line with FATF, meaning we are more likely to accept than refuse someone as a client.

When we start offering MT5, it will not impact MT4. We will allow clients to keep using MT4. If you want to run both side by side, then that is more than ok.

Obviously MT5 has the functionality for CFDs and Futures, but I cannot say for certain whether we will offer these products. It would have to fit in with our current plans and business model, but it is a possibility.

I would expect MT5 to be available in the next few months, but again there is no certainty about time period. We will of course keep all our clients in the loop.

when the market closes liquidity dries up = larger spreads.

It's usually not that much. But it's the same thing as dukascopy or other broker reducing the leverage over the weekend. It's only to protect the broker against the exposed risk.

The spreads go back to normal when the market opens again. Watch again on sunday evening. Maybe Chris can elaborate more.

I checked vantagefx and they do the same thing (weekends).

Hi,

perhaps it is to do with all the riots in the middle eastern countries.

We also have the WEF meeting as well.

Risks are high this weekend, the market acts accordingly, a lot could happen before Monday open time but I agree the spreads are very high.

It would be interesting to know what the spread are on other brokers, I only have demos with other brokers but none of them are as high as GO

On my live platforms, spreads are normal on Axitrader, 3 pips on the pairs mentioned below however GO are very wide, spread is 73 pips GBPUSD and 146 on GBPJPY.

How can there be such a difference?

Regards,

murray

Hi Snowman,

I am in the same situation right now.
Yes, it is a very uncomfortable feeling.....

My other live account broker -ThinkForex (ECN)
is showing almost identical high spreads.
It looks like this is happening on ECN brokers.

My next question is, is it possible in extreme circumstances
for the spread to stay as high into the trading week for a few days?

Thank you all for answering my question.

Cheers

In reviewing all of my CurrPairs, I think the EURCHF has the current record at 192 pips (1928 points). This is the very reason why I do not leave positions open over the weekend. There is rioting in the middle east and Mubarik's cabinet has been asked to resign.

Actually, the record is beeing held by GBP/CAD with 244.2 pips spread.
Let's see what will happen on Sunday/Monday.

Cheers
