The latest version, I have changed MS Excel spreadsheet to MT4 indicator (in EA).

There are basically two ways you can trade this system.

One way is to use the weekly IA for entries and exits as determined by T101 himself two yrs ago. An indicator for this method is T101_dashboard_v1.4Don.

Another method was recently developed by the programmers in this thread which utilizes an offline chart of the basket so it looks like any currency chart. A template for this method of trading is texmade1's template which can be found in this thread. I believe disbellj (Don) has all the indicators in a zip file.

With these two methods, you can determine if you like trading looking at charts or looking at 14 currency pairs jump on a board.

Is there anybody who trades the method profitable since 2 years?

For many of those who have been profitable, they're probably off this site by now.

Most of the successful traders, not really share their methods, perhaps, a lot of the liars and marketers share theirs rubbish anywhere!

Though this week hasn't ended yet, I'm currently up roughly 400 pips. I missed last night's opportunity to get in on the long basket, when I saw the dashboard this morning when all the buys overtook the sells at the top, the basket gained roughly another 400+ pips. I will post some pictures by the end of this week.

I got only 30~40 pips for all day long..

It will explain the basics to you.

Using T101_dashboard_v1.4Don, this dashboard acts like an IA, except that you don't have to open a new IA every sunday at exactly 22:45. This indicator has that function. Therefore, it makes trading the basket using the IA much easier. The entry and exit conditions should be explained in the document in the link. As for timeframes, I usually monitor 15m,30m,1hr, and 4hr for the current week's IA for entry and exit. For previous weeks' IAs, I use 4hr and daily to determine trend.

Once you've read that document, and if you have questions about the indicator, I'll walk you through the parameters.

I have a question..

Do I have to update this date setting(estrOpenDate) everyday?

Or just only one time at monday of the week?

If you are setting the IA to open at the beginning of the week, set it on sunday 22:45. ie for this week, 2011.01.23 22:45. you only need to set it once to have the IA opened and it doesn't have to be monday.

Thank you for the speedy reply.
For your information, I do understand some of the basics however since I do not have any practical experience I have many questions about the details.
Though they may be quite basic questions, I ask for your understanding.
I changed the settings based on the contents of your reply, however since I still have some doubts I leave you this message.
The data until 01242245 is shown however I cannot display 01232245.
If you see the first picture (picture01) below, the data for 01232245 does not appear.
And in the second picture (picture02) the data of 01232245 is displayed without problems.
I do not know if it is because today is Friday or if there is some other problem.
Do the date settings have to be renewed every week?
If the date settings have to done every week I have to set it to Sunday 22:45, then would it be better to do right after Sunday at 22:45 or can I do it on Monday morning, afternoon, or perhaps even on Tuesday?
Though today may be Friday, though I can read up to this Monday’s data, since I cannot read the data for the day before that – last Sunday – it makes me wonder if there may be something wrong with the settings.

First of all, I see the data in your indicator in the thousands for this week, and this shouldn't be the case. You need to switch to a 5 digit forex broker if you haven't already. I use fxcm for demo, and they offer the 14 ibfx pairs. There's the use ibfx pairs function in the indicator as well, set that to true. If you already use a 5-digit broker, then it's the lots function in the indicator. You want to take the default digit there and divide by 10 and input that number in there.

The date settings do not have to be renewed every week. You just need to set the IA for a new week when it comes. And you can set the date of the IA whenever you want, like set it for the 23rd when today is the 28, etc. I can also set the indicator up for previous weeks, just put the date as 2011.01.16 22:45 to see the IA opened from last week, and so on.

Do you mind sharing the percent gain on account? Pips really don't mean anything of themselves.

Trading multiple pairs at the same time makes you trade lower Lots per pair, and trading on higher timeframe makes the Lots lower also because of a larger stoploss than smaller timeframe requires.

For instance, I traded EURUSD last night on M15 chart, risking 2% per trade, and made 15.5% overnight. Could have made double that if I wanted to, but stopped trading and instead explained to my wife what I would be doing if I were trading, because I wanted to train my wife on why and how I make decisions when trading.

Hi Texmade.

I've been following this thread, but also Dreamliner's correlation thread under trading systems (also based on relative strength - you may want to check it out); it's been quite the active thread this week. Unfortunately, Dreamliner's thread has hit a snag, as trades are triggered by a simple stocastic (such makes for an inferior "trigger"). Your method appears to be superior, but I just can't figure out your yellow "point of control" . Can you tell us how the lines on your chart are made? Is it similar to a sixth's indicator? Is it an indicator you can share? Many thanks for all of your informative posts - I believe you're the only one who really has taken basket trading / relative strength to a new level. Thanks again - Steve
