does this strategy still work? those of you who have been trading it for over few months...tell me honestly..what are your results?

At a risk of 1% per trade, the drawdown has been big, although obviously the wins are big. I cut my risk in half a couple of weeks ago, and am going for larger than 140 pips. I have my tp at 220 now. And as Tony said he's going for 600. Some of the moves last year were a lot more than that.

If someone traded this all of last year consistently at both markets, they would have made a killing, that at least according to looking at the price history by ticks and to some who made some of the trades. But this has been I think the longest, or one of the longest times between hits. Last hit was 11/29.

these few days my spreads on ATC brokers has been more than 1 and I had not had a single trades, do you guys recommend upping the spread filter on the EA? Also what are the results of trades taken since last week. Thanks.

Actually London Jan 20 was a 100-pip winner.

did you guys long or short on today's London open? I went short after seeing an almost 1 pip red candle. SL -2

My EA has not open any trades past few days, anyone having the same problem?

Tony is waiting for the first two pips of movement after the open.

I'm not using the EA right now but maybe the spread filter is keeping it from trading.

today's New York open was a BE for me, anyone else?

I think if you can keep your head above water by moving stops to BE as soon as you can, eventually the big wins will come. I'm not using Tony's rules for entry and out of respect for him I won't post my strategy after this post. PM me if you have questions. I've been looking at the slope of a 50 (Simple Moving Average) on a 5M chart at the NY open and trading with the slope at the break of the last swing high or low. Same 2 pip SL /100-140 TP. I use a limit order that's good only until noon. I move my SL to +2 when I'm up 10 pips. I'm thinking the combination of the NY open plus the break of the S/R level may give a better chance at TP or at least +2. This may be similar to what Tony was doing earlier in the thread. Have been able to stay above BE for three weeks now waiting for the big one. This strategy would have produced ( 4 ) 100+ wins over the last 5 months. I'm going to keep looking back for the last year then compare this strategy to Tony's latest.

Toothman did you took the epic win trade on 20th Jan? I got in and took 30 pips off the table follow by 50.

That was a -2 pip trade with my strategy at the NY open that day. I don't trade the London open since it's the middle of the night for me.

I thot that was the case too and increase the spread filter to 1.2 pips and it still did not take any trades yesterday, very strange.

I got stopped out at BE, have my BE set to 4 on the EA. What BE point are most using? With 2pip s/l looks like it might have been taken out w/o BE depending on what spread was at the time.

Anyone in this one?

I stopped out at BE. I have a 1.5 stop and trail by about 3 to BE.

I know that the spread is very important for this strategy. Check IKON Viking platform. The spread for EURUSD is 0.6-0.8 pips most of the time even lower. The commission is 0.2p of the base currency per round turn. Fills are much faster than any other broker I ever traded with. I don't work for IKOn I just share my experience.

Possible entry was at the beginning of the first big candle also. Things like this breathe life into what this thread was before switching for entries on all opens where we lost a lot of souls and hope.
