On the 30 Minutes charts (for example) :

fast little kumo (8/24)

slow little kumo (8x3=24 , 24x3 = 72) (little kumo of 90 minutes =1h30m)

what so simple about it? you already have 7 components to your system.
May i ask, if that is trending then that is good. But how do you determine a fake breakout then?

Yes, the example provided by Lessformore was a clear trending situation where almost anything will work, now for the more frequent whipsaw situation there is simply no way to determine a fake breakout for sure, but are you defending the EMA cross or did I misunderstand?

Well in this case I am not gonna give you what the book says because it only works to some extent and on longer TF rather than the shorter TF we are using.
You have to know that fake breakouts are inevitable and you have to deal with them by strict money and risk management, by that I mean if you think the trade is risky then lower your lot size and always always put a stop loss, and if your SL is too far for your risk then don't take the trade, there will be other opportunities with better more suitable conditions.
Another important aspect to avoid the fakes is to get confirmation, you can either rely totally on ichimoku (CS, TS/KS direction, key resistance....) or use some other indicator if you are more comfortable with that.
A third element to consider is the time of your entry, if you examine the price movement with market opening hours in place, you will see that statistically price moves more at certain opening hours. This is variable for each pair or group of pairs, and that's why for example Vic will mostly trade the London session, but feel free to check the timings as I'm sure you will find other suitable opportunities to your comfort.
A final caution is to avoid overtrading, and consider the price you pay by doing more than one or two trades per day, although your broker may not charge you commission, but you already pay with each trade the spread twice ( on entry and exit) which goes straight to your broker before you even make any profit, you will be amazed at how much you pay and how much you need to make on your account whatever thie size of it may be, in order to break even let alone be profitable.

A small question with a suggestion.

Did we have the sheet updated today or not? If yes how do we realise that it is being updated? Can we have a small column informing that the updates have been done ..... showing date and time of the update.

Just a small suggestion.

Hi, you can download the sheet from the signature link and update it yourself. I believe everyone is updating their own sheet now But if you download it and upload to your own gmail documents, you can go to FILE > View revision to see the changes. And in the gmail doc will also update the date and time. Hope this answer helps you.

Thanks for asking. No I am not there yet. I have to keep going back and forth from the start of the page No. you advised me to. I am kind of confused still and trying to figure it out on my own. Hopefully it would be soon.

Why do you have canceled the posts ???

I have added a middle line inside the little Kumo.

This line can be used than stop and or stop follower.

Also ,this middle line is the Senkou spanA without projecting forward Kijun periods.

I removed the images because they were not relevant to the Ichimoku thread. They were more relevant in a Fibonacci thread. I used your indicator but used fib numbers 8,13,21,34,55 and 89 that printed the 50% retracement of the various extreme moves of price.(same as kijun indicator on its own for numbers 8,13,21,34,55) I then used them all in the timeframes M5 to D1 to see where to expect support and resistance - kind of a visual dynamic fibonacci indicator on all timeframes. When you have the lower timeframes all in bear mode or all in bull mode it is time to enter depending on the distance from the S/R levels of the higher timeframes - and you know exactly where to exit. When to enter is the problem. What I find best is to wait for a pinbar or outside bar followed by a double cross of two fliplines(line in the sand between the bulls and the bears) from two directions and then you need space to move to the next S/R line. Another one is to wait for 3 taps on a trendline followed by the double cross of flipline with space to move.
As you can see from the above - this should not be on the Ichimoku thread although the idea emanated from this thread

If you have been following the sheet, it was an opportunity to short for USDCHF for about 40 pips. Congrats for those who got it.

EURUSD has a 65 pips profit too upon 2nd kumo break during NY session. But i was already asleep

Here's a contribution to the thread for free, a pattern i have been noticing for the past 1 month and trading it safely too. It will usually give at least 50 pips targeting R1 or S1.

Chikou breakout of kumo in M15, price breakout of kumo in M30.
