You can't "buy" TG anymore. It comes "free" with a subcription to the VSA club now.

I don't have MT4, but the signals in TG can be seen on any chart. TG will speed up your learning curve for sure. Then again, so will this thread .

Hi AngelineW - Regarding the above quote. I can see how it sometimes looks like that but it's not actually the case. High volume just like low volume can be seen on both buying (long) and selling (short).

High volume, large spread (distance between high and low) on an up bar plus a few other signs is usually weakness and the opposite for strength.

Markets do not like wide spread up bars on very high to ultra high volume because they can contain hidden selling. However, increasing volume on up bar as long as the volume is not excessive is bullish in an uptrend.

Down bars are a bit different (There was a question a few pages back about this).

Due to the structure of markets, they usually fall faster than they rise. Therefore, wide spread down bars on high volume always mean selling. If the volume is very high or excessive, then there could be hidden buying in the bar. Especially if the next bar is up. Bearish volume is increasing volume on down bars in a downtrend.

Low volume up or down mean little activity by the Smart Money. If the low volume is on an up bar, then we might have No Demand or No Buying Pressure. If the low volume is on a down bar, then we might have No Supply, No Selling pressure or a test. Here we see that decreasing volume on up bars is Bearish and decreasing volume on down bars is Bullish.

Thanks HG and Lux, i understand the ultra high volume and very wide spread but does it only refer to for instance large spread bullish candle that close in the middle or low/ or does also include full body bullish candle?

Dear AngelineW, selling is usually driven by fear which is a higher force than greed (buying). Fear leads quickly to panic like reactions, something greed is less likely to develop.

Under this aspect the down movements are usually sharper. This applies in particular to the stock market but also to forex.

Dear Seismo but in forex i think both sides are equal isnt it? when u are shorting the market turns against you and those people long to hedge their positions so is it the same? there is fear on both side.

Yes still long. I am watching volume on hourly and there are no significant high volumes down bars.
Now at 3480 it seems supply is there but not aggressive so it may be absorbed over time.
After all, Malcolmb projected 3650 for the end of the week.

That’s right, for that reason I said “particular to stocks”. But you are right, the effect is not so significant in FOREX.

That’s a god advice.
Just as you wrote, I took half of my positions out @ 3499 for a god 1260 pips for a relieved day.

High five on that... haha the up thrust on the 15 min is too hard to ignore...using some female inbuilt instinct i took my 80 pips and saw the big drop... but thats enuff excitment for me hope you guys have a great day time to play with 15 min demo haha finish with real account now to demo.

Not agree.

Think about it, IF you buy EUR you sell USD.

EUR/USD is the same as USD/EUR with the graph upside down.
