And here's one more I love, alerter. If you draw a trendline and either name it or describe it (not sure, so I do both) Alert_ 1 or Alert_2 (or 3 or any other number, just don't name two the same on one chart, I think), it will alert you when price is within a pip or two of the line

lol... dont knock the indis though,imho they have there uses. the thing about them is understanding there limitations and to use them as confluence rather than entry/exit signals.

i jus watched one on breakout trading which was interesting

I'm gonna see if I can switch off the visuals on it. But it's my PA hunter. Every 4 hours it sends me alerts of what's going on.

You're dead right though, the stars are a great distraction

Target hit. Thought about leaving 50% to see if we could close above .9900 and hit the .9950 area, but closed 100%.

Yup. Just switched each colour to 'none'. Now they're all gone(on one of the charts anyway!), but I'll still get my alerts.

Chart much cleaner now, thanks for spotting it Pinbar

It's hard to watch all the charts AND catch up with all the lessons, and for me, finish my novel at the same time, so it's good for me to have these programs watching the charts for me.

If only I could get a program to write my book for me! Maybe I should adopt a thousand monkeys and typewriters for that though

Its a BUOB as a PB cant close higher than the previous bar, also want a bigger lower than the previous bar for a PB.

We had a BUOB on the daily on AU.. I really like it as it had..

 

  1. PA coming from a nice ppz/flip area
  2. 61.8 fib
  3. PA (BUOB)
  4. Div


Entry would be around 0.9975 and we had parity 25 pips above.
AUD unemployment news yesterday night and todays USD news made it too much risk for 25 pips.. so for me it wasnt a trade I wanted to be involved in.

The only restriction is that the range of the previous bar is engulfed by the range of the next bar. The position of the close of the engulfing bar relative to the low/high of the engulfed bar is a measure of strength (ie. bearishness/bullishness) of that BEOB/BUOB. The high/low of the engulfed bar acts as resistance/support and a close above/below means breaking and closing above/below that resistance/support. Hope this clears up.

My order is about 2 white lines(small position) and one blue line(big position)

1st small position(buy entry) is at a little bit lower from BUOB Close, and at 16:00(Next bar`s close on 4h chart)...

I closed all of 1st entry position with + few pips (closed just below FTA)
I leave 2nd&3rd orders as I mentioned in my post #85554

Note: I trade this PA by a specific way(my original way, not j16 method)
and those charts are only just for an entertainment .

Every 4 hours? Aren't you supposed to watching the weekly and the daily charts?

Yes, I am aware of the FTA just above. I just want to see how this weekly candle closes and wait for the pullback, next week.

Whoopie, look at E-G going. Classic breakout/pullback sparked off by that 1H-PB with some nice confluence .......... wait a minute ........... I've closed my long already because I didn't have the patience to sit this one out, bummer
