Haven't had much time to post lately and not trying to predict anything (a fools game at best) but, here is how I currently see the EURUSD.

It is not unusual for corrective waves to be "noisey" so I will be cautious in my trading. I may even use the "patience indicator" to stay out of the market altogether until the picture becomes a bit clearer as to what the Pink Elephant has in mind. Money preserved is as good as money made.

P.S. Nice to see this thread remaining active.

Hi Cubby,
I felt it necessary to say Thank You for your system . I have been having multiple success with it. Although still using it on Demo. I have though a bit of tweak on it as I trade it along with Trendline Break. with my SL being the price where the signal is.To ease my trade I have coded an EA (exclusively for Golden Finger). Attached Here is the EA and the required Indi.... Both available for modification. just a way of saying Thank You...

I would wait until the final word in regards to the repainting issue is given. I was also going to program an EA for this system, however after the results of last session, I think we need to figure out how to better resolve the repainting issue.

Due to the repainting issue, a loss was experienced yesterday.

Alright guys, I've fixed the repaint issue. I've always thought this indicator was the weakest anyway. It's been removed all together.

yesterday was not a good trading day for this system unfortunately...

I think removing this indicator can only help the system. Let me know what you guys think.

I attached a new zip to first post.

Also, you guys are wlecome to try other time frames... 5 min, 15 min, 30 minute, 4 hour and daily time frames. These can also be traded with success.

He said he used it on one hour. I've used it on a 15 minute time frame.

What must I do to keep the Golden Finger marking setups? From what I can see it is the key but after a short time it quits working. Hours and hours of nothing. If I restart the platform the signals are everywhere. I have missed several great trades because of this. Is there a reason it quits working?

This is my first post so go easy on me. I've been a lurker on FF for a few years now. I only joined to post on this particular post. I had the oppurtunity to trade this method today all day. A few things i have noticed that EUR/USD "TODAY" on a 15 min chart would have returned big time. I got out to early on the trade but if held from the first buy signal this morning would have returned about 120 pips. GBP/USD would have been roughly 150 pips and EUR/JPY would have been around 90 pips and these are at time of posting. This is not my main trading time but it shows promise.

Hi fxhermit,

I see that you are still making use of the Golden Variety indicator (from your screenshot)? Do you still find it adds any value this strategy?

Cheers

Yeah, hindsight shows this to be a classic text book example, doesn't it. The Finger signals defined the 123 very nicely. For me its a "bread and butter" pattern, takes a bit of patience to watch one evolve, they're not always this nice though ....

So far 2011 has been a swing trader's delight $$$$$ . Glad you pocketed some as well.
