ditto I hate to short this pair, been out for a long time now, I'm short the euro though. gl

I'm just starting in Forex so I'm still green.. but isn't it a bit risky to buy now when US' NFP is less than 12 hours? It can go either way in a big way..unless we're just scalping..

I'm waiting for a chance for it to retrace up a bit ... I'll get out before the news release.

It seems Australia to be highly effected by the floods according to the article. If this is true, I don't see how AUD can go up. However, so far AUD resist to fell from 0.99XX levels.

Long on AUD/USD ... short on EUR/USD would be nice

Maybe something to do with supply & demand, after the floods the supply of raw materials Australia produces will be less but the demand remains the same at least. So prices go up. IHMO.

What is not too risky,,?

The only time I'll think about trading AU again is when it goes above 1.0000... and it's gonna be a SHORT. I made a good one a few days back - too bad I put my +SL too low, it got hit by a spike =( Else I would've earned double twice as much with the current AU price.

If you look at higher TFs, it's not so often that AU got this high. I'll definitely say it's going further down down down. Good luck with scalping long.

Everybody is waiting for the news, especially the Non-Farm Employment Change
, if it is higher than expected then we might see a strong downtrend on Aussie, but especially on Eur.
If it is lower than expected... well, all hell will break loose! And I will be selling the USD/JPY, which is the best barometer for this news. Last year, when the news came out worst, the USD/JPY dropped more than 100 pips.

Give priority to the High Impact (HI) in your resolution to trade and if actual figures turn upside down or wtever..make yr own resolution / judgement and trade accordingly to the direction.

Put yr SL far away 200-300 meters away because desperate ppl tend to make OPEN ORDERS with huge sum of money which could cause a LONG SPIKES up and down during this Nonfarm payroll data..

Once you're in profit use yr common sense to lock it up ...not to near to the price actions. Even if it's taken out , you can re-enter again at any minor retracement on the 5m or 15m tf.

Sometimes..Mr.B or any other Financial Chairman of that currency pair make REVISIONS in the middle of the trading session, resulting changes of data just released. This is where tht LOCK PROFIT become usefull.

Pls check other current details such as DXY (Dollar index), percentage increase/decrease,..and some other facts which u might think can weight the due data.


Plan yr entry wisely...jump only after calculation is sure. Think abt Risk Ratio... How much percentage of risk yr account willing to take. Margin level need to be consistenly IN-CHECK. Be prepared abt 200-300pips impact, etc. U don't hv to rush to trade. there're sooo.. much money in forex and it can wait for u for another day.

Will trade USDCAD first, in 1hr40m from now and AUDUSD in 3hrs later. Will post price projections and profit targets after I see their moves.

I notice you're somewhat excited with so many people coming, coz first time I checked out AU thread you could fill out one whole page with your posts only I'd keep out from trading AU for now tho.

Long UCad hours ago, doing well so far to my eyes, it's at the bottom end of a channel, so buy limits are waiting shall news unfavor my decision.

News or No News...fact is, its "Over Valued" and has more then its fair share of good news already factored in!

....hence price target of 0.8600-0.8900 regardless of any dead cat moves, or false break-outs!
