hi Raczekfx,

i was looking at ur thread, and its quite good to see that u r making so many pips. but i would like to knw whts the USE of these setups if u post thm AFTER they have occurred. bcoz its no use to post charts just to show how much profit u r in even if u r 1000pips green. wouldnt it be very useful if u post thm lil early so that other fellow traders could learn from ur setups as well as make some money with u.

Hi Gta, From personal experience, I learnt so so much from seeing peoples trade setups, each one tells an invaluable story. If you use a critical eye and good observation , i think its possible to begin to make these trades also... I know when I put my charts up its not about how much they extend into the green pple should look at, but the thought process that went into the trade..
Just my humble opinion... any way ... bring forth the chart!

How do you think people learn how to trade Rac's style of trading (or any trading method for that matter) ... by studying charts and setups over and over again until it becomes second nature. posting them before or after the event makes no difference to the learning process does it?

There is a reason most people don't post charts / setups before the event on a public forum...they do not want people to blindly follow them!

If you are keen to learn about this style of trading then I would strongly recommend you print off all of rac's posts from J16 and this thread (they are summarized into zip files somewhere), print them off, get them bound (as they will be a big number)...read them, re-read them and then go and watch some charts and spot setups for yourself in realtime.

Hi Mark,

I did it with your journal lol.

And i am glad your journal is there because that helped a lot together with the no brainer thread and some j16. i am not so following in bars but i love the touch trades low risk entries with good accuracy and good reward.

I hope you keep posting your stuff is the bomb thanks!

hello, Rac, pardon me for probably a rude question, but, it really puzzles me for long time, how come most time the PPZ+TL+Fib Ret works nicely to your analysis,but,almost fails me with equal probability?

I guess majority of the members on this thread may have similar questions to mine, what is the main problem in our (well at least my) analysis with the seemingly same approach?

experience could be one of the most important reasons for sure. just wondering in what sense the accumulation of experience could make such a difference?

hope you don't mind my curiousity, since your analysis is really so powerful, I can not help try to understand the root reasons.

I don't think it's rude and the question is perfectly valid. No two traders are created equal. Trading statistics don't lie...
Why do you think 95% of people smarter than you and me fail over and over again? I know of at least 5 wealthy people posting on FF, who have PHDs and have very successful careers, yet they fail miserably @ trading. They've tried james16 methods, my methods, MAs, you name it and are still walking in circles...

but, back to your question.

Short answer is: your skill level and screen time.
Add to that your ego, lack of understanding mass psychology and you have semi reliable picture.
I'm not claiming what I do works even 80% of times, or will ever work for anyone else, but I know it works for me and few others who spend significant time practicing those methods.

hey gta,

pips are not important, don't even look at the pips, $ value if you ever want to get anywhere in trading.
Instead, you look where buy/sell occurred. You look at dozens of these charts and perhaps something will light up, which will propel your trading to the next level.
It's not easy, but when that bulb finally lights up, it will be yours forever. No one can take it away from you. You can then go back to your original post and I'm sure you will laugh through the tears, because you will know the answer..

Sometimes reading between the lines and staring at charts long enough, can transform you beyond your wildest dreams..., but on the other side it can do absolutely nothing.
It matters not.

Great post rac!I I feel I am getting closer to that moment,how much longer?....I don't know but I have been looking at things threw a new light lately and the posts I have read in the past from successful traders are seeming to make more sense..Look forward to your charts rac,keep it up!...Josh

just had this thought after reading your post:

...most books we read were written by authors who are either old or deceased.
..we can learn from fossils, fossilized material, etc. fossils are millions of years old
..doctors/doctors-to-be study the parts/organs of human bodies of the deceased
...crime investigators study/inspect a crime scene looking for clues of what could've happened...
& any more samples about the PAST.... JUST LIKE what many traders call/whine 'in hindsight'

this yr has been a sweet yr , trading wise ....havent made a million bucks but the wisdom ive acquired is worth more.
going to close this position at the support shown on chart for about 18R, another entry on break of beob & hold probably till next yr 1265 level if price lets me.
ill post more if i have time, trying to conc

Can I ask how you got your entry at about 3180.

I can see prevous support at about 3190.

By setting up limit buy order last night in the trigger zone.

Support/resistance are also zones that cover number of pips. Instead of saying 3190 is support, I'd say 3170/3200 is the support as I see it...
