DislikedAre you sure? MT4 is still listed on their website. Did they officially said that?Ignored

DislikedIn fact, Duka's rep advised me to go to fxopen as i inquired for mt4.. i thought he's kidding.Ignored
Disliked...
Duka promised a few days ago to check if something can be done with the above and get back to me in this thread. I hope they give some good newsIgnored

Disliked@Karl_Vosp: JForex API streams tick-by-tick historical data. Something worth being specified: all currencies pairs are streamed as they become available. Basically you can receive two ticks from EURUSD, then one from AUDCAD,e.g., etc.Ignored
DislikedYeah. I'm sure they did.
For the traders that still operate with lanterns and cook with fires. there is a bridge that connects MT4 to Jforex and visa versa. We're not in the stone age any moreIgnored
DislikedMC claim is true with respect to FIX API but not with respect to JForex. You can place trades and receive data through FIX API. FIX API is a problem because FIX API does not provide historical backfill and one can have gaps in his data.Ignored
DislikedSince Jforex has capability to stream historical and current data and has Java programming capability, one could export the data into files of some kind and that could be read by MC.Ignored
DislikedI have found MC can sell API (above 4k) so you can interface anything you want.
So it seems there is always a solution if you are prepared to pay.Ignored
DislikedActarus,
Dou you know how much historical tick data can be requested back through JForex API (and effectively delivered to a third party software)? A day back? A week back? A month back? A year back? 2 years back?
ThanksIgnored
DislikedIt is not a matter of where are you from, it is about who is your IB.
Since you used MOBForex as your IB and for some reason there is a "bad blood" between them and Dukascopy, I think you will get none until and if they ever resolve their issues.Ignored
DislikedI know your a new trader, but if you think that the market is tame, rational without slippage and fluctuations, than you you should not trade.
Even with a Breakeven +1 or 2+ pips , you can still receive enough slippage to get a - pip gain resulting in a loss with ECN.
And, No Dukascopy is not trading against you. They are ECN + Commission. They make their Money from traders losing their risk capital and from charging you a commission per trade.
