i'm wondering if there is a EA that exsists on the forums here that will

bring second position to BE when the First position has hit target, or profit taken....

pretty simple EA i would think, anyone seen a EA like that here on FF?

Anyone care to try and code it?
if i used every commercial EA i would be a brazilianare by next week!!!!

I've been using this for quite sometime, particularly managing Nick's service call trade. For the input tab, you just need to edit the "break even" and 'closehalf" section.

What i did most of the time is set the BreakEven AND Closehalf at TP1... If that is the case, let say your OP is 1 lot, it will automatically close half of the lot (0.5 lot) at TP1, and move the SL to BE for the other 0.5 lot and let it run with stress free trade.

The great thing about this is you dont have to open 2 OP pertrade as 1 OP will do, it will automatically close half of it when it reach your target. You can try different setting which suits your trade management style...Hope this will help.

settings to understand them corectly

Break even @ 40.0 = pips? (comes to BE when 40 pips is achived?)

close half @ 50.0 ok this is easy

Risk amount @ 250.0 is this the currnecy value? meaning irsk factor of $250?
perhaps elaborate a bit on this setting please

stoploss @ 60.0 = 60 pips right?

perhaps elaborate a bit on this setting please --> This settings will not effect how the EA behave/function, its only to calculate for you the lot size according to risk ammount and stoploss value. You can see it (the calculated lot size) at your main chart you attached this EA.

The New York Federal Reserve said Monday it had bought $8.257 billion in Treasurys maturing between Feburary 2018 and November 2020. The purchases are part of the Federal Reserve's asset-purchase program to lower yields and spur appetite for other assets. Treasurys stayed higher after the midmorning buyback. Yields on the 10-year note /quotes/comstock/31*!ust10y (UST10Y 2.83, -0.05, -1.77%) were down 5 basis points at 2.83%. Yields move inversely prices and one basis point is 1/100th of a percentage point

dang i was picked up for the gold trade and it closed me out at BE... then i realized i had to add another digit for a 5 digit broker lol!!!

The U.S. Federal Reserve considered even more-drastic options to stimulate the economy before it settled on buying $600 billion in bonds, according to minutes of a meeting released on Tuesday that showed a resolute but fractured central bank.

Fed officials sharply revised down their forecasts for economic growth next year, and saw unemployment at significantly higher levels than they had the last time they issued official forecasts in June. <FED/FCASTS>

Most participants in the Federal Open Market Committee, the Fed's policy-setting arm, backed the plan to ramp up asset purchases in an effort to bring down long-term interest rates and try to nudge economic activity up a notch.

In a rare, unscheduled meeting held via videoconference on October 15, policymakers debated a range of new avenues for policy, including the possibility of targeting a specific level of bond yields and enhancing communications by instituting news briefings by Chairman Ben Bernanke.

The U.S. economy grew 2.5 percent in the third quarter, the Commerce Department reported on Tuesday, a bit faster than a previous estimate of 2 percent, but still not quick enough to put a dent in the nation's 9.6 percent unemployment rate.

Against that backdrop, the Fed minutes depicted the November policy move as in part an insurance policy against the threat of further disinflation -- and potentially even a corrosive bout of deflation.

Still, not all Fed officials believed the new policy, which has raised controversy both at home and abroad, would help lift the economy out of its doldrums. In fact, "several" participants believed a further increase in Fed credit to the banking system, already around $2.3 trillion following an array of emergency measures undertaken during the financial crisis, risked future inflation.

One particular passage in the minutes nicely captured the internal divisions that could make it more difficult for the committee to extend its easing policies if it decides to do so. Its current bond-buying program is set to expire at the end of June.

"A few participants expected that continuing resource slack would lead to some further disinflation in coming years," the minutes said. "However, a few others thought that the exceptionally accommodative stance of monetary policy, coupled with rising prices of energy and other commodities ... made it more likely that inflation would increase."
