gbp is trying to break the previous swing low on the hrly and 4 hr , if it breakks a target back to the bottom is not to unbelievable.

waiting for some retracements here . Hope they come, nothing worse than watching the whole days ATR ( Average Trading Range or Daily Trading Range) take place while you sit on your hands.

Are you looking to trade the retracements or get back in off them for a short?

I grabbed a scalp off that 113.71 daily line. But want a short for a bigger trade so many red candles hard to trade against them plus a change of swing would require us to go back to the top , a very long way indeed today

hi Kenneth,

have you take the H1 MA60 cross trade? If I understand right, EO would take a trade while price cross H1 MA60. Would you please explain why these two days this setup which EO had highly recomended keep fail? Probably I did not understand well this setup!

Well done on the scalp mate.

I feel just the same. In other conditions, i'd have jumped in on that high volume pin (albeit it is straight into the 62 ema) on EJ but after a move like that, no way!

Just as an aside and with no intention at all to try and derail this thread away from the core principles, when there is a strong trend like this one today, I know another very experienced trader from FF who takes 5/10 ema bounces off M5 into strong trends. I've been demo testing this on the side as a complimentary strat to look over (as it fits in with the same essence of the EO approach) and it would have got me into these moves at many points along the way for very low risk 10 pips or less).

Not advocating anyone else trade this way but it's an interesting concept that I am keeping one eye on.

Sorry to move the thread slighty OT Ken, hope it's seen as a whorthwhile enough input.

Yes there is Price action on those faster charts as well. If you can't see the action unfolding on the 15 the 5 or even 1 can give clarity . the problem comes from JUST focusing on those time frames.

I am the worlds worse at holding trades. I was in at the top but got out when it closed flat below the 50 ema. Went to bed then so missed the retest off the 35 sma.

I can see 3 good entry areas on the 5 min chart . But key is that price really didn't go up just a bit sideways while waiting for further down.

you can see the same areas on the 15 minute as retracement wick and small I/B candles.

But use that as a backup to a stronger signal , you always want to use the higest time frame chart signal as possible. At times they will be many signals on many charts ( The Best)

But as you have noticed there are also many others that cna help you jump aboard . Again the key is to KNOW when your attempt has failed That can be a persons unding jumping without a net.

I took a short off the 62 ema retest closed for 12 . Stalling, some speech due out of UK I believe maybe waiting on that . Or U./ S. session maybe garbage this week.

You're right and I guess i'm at this frustrating stage of knowing that there are solid and reliable ways to trade every major move, yet still missing some. I could absolutely kick myself in the nuts when i've seen the moves like today unfold and not yet had the full belt of skills and tools available to make sure I get them.

Back to training boot camp for me!

I am always very unsure about anything that talks in terms of "you could make 5000$ a day etc" and highlights stuff in bright colours (sorry, colors ), always screams scam to me.

If there's some good stuff in there though, i'll put some time aside.

Don't kick yourself. It is not uncommon to miss moves just part of the job.

I still think the best tool is just a straight line, just trusting them is the hard part.

They are based on very basic trading ideas. Surfing is nothing more than Fib trading the scalping is trendline breakouts. here are some digrams of the entries

when I downloaded them they were free for the sharing someone has ressurected the websight now though. I don't promote anyones systems that they sell. But will use free information that teaches basic Price action trading.

Here are some Instructions I have done for the surfing manual. Remember this is just for scalping when price looks to be ranging in a tight market. Look for swings on a 5 or 1 minute chart and place trade according to the pip size of the swings.

Demo it for a bit to get use to setting pending orders quickly. You should have time to get it all set up and just enter it when price retraces to the correct levels.

If you don't vary the instructions or move any stops . It is a very profitable and fun way to get a few extra pips during times we may not trade.

But as with all our trading this can also be just the beggining of a major move so always get use to just adjusting stops and TP levels to gain as much profit as possible.

Once in, look to your higher charts to see if their swings are making new highs or lows the sign a trend on those chart maybe changing.

Good morning guys,

Thank god the weekend is over so I can trade, although Thanksgiving is coming so I'll be forced to trade. Maybe I'll play some Gran Turismo 5 but realistically I'll just trade with the forex simulator.

Same as we trade just using 1 and 5 minte charts Micro and Macro swings .. In the space of 3, 15 min candles a complete swing can happen on the faster charts.

Have that issue anyway but aint the head. At the age that my major enjoyment is cooking and eating.. Plus I do this as much or more for myself as anything else keeps me focused as well.
