It hit it's FTA (first trouble area) - but it wasn't at a swing low/high which would have been a pass for most.

Welcome to the thread glad to see you posting. Blaz has it correct below you.

This pinbar very much worked out but most will get tripped up on these but once you can start to see this you are so far ahead of the herd.

Notice this pinbar is near a swing high(what we would term a continuation). Now this isn't wrong to play but by itself we have to think we really have only a few things.

A pinbar, a close above a round number(very good), continuation near swing high of trend.

This means the immediate trouble area is going to be an area of interest, we are trading right back into 3 previous bar highs that proved to be the most recent selling. Notice exactly what price did.

Now the second part mgmt is what trips people up and your style and in my opinion the strength will dictate what to do at this area. But for now a chart speaks volumes.

Hi
Took this trade, closed it early being Friday and Europe closed, UK was about to close , it just slowed down at 16.44hrs UK time just after a convincing buob formed on H4. anyway it was interesting for me to understand that it's not the best idea to enter a trade on a Friday after mid day (Please corrrect me if I got this wrong)

D1 BUOB, at 1.5723 Daily PPZ, Price retraced to previous bar high resistance and 1.5868 Daily PPz - 50.0% retrace.

entry was on H1 DBLHC.

Entry 1.5916
Sl 1.5710
TP 1.5983

I am pleased with my initial setup, solid wall/foundation ppz at 1.5723 behind the Daily buob,then a classic retrace and dblhc pa on h1

Then a nice buob formed on h4.

If you are trading Friday what is the last trade of the day using a h4 bar for it to carry any momentum, trade did make a few pips profit though.

That is not "my" EMA idea it is part of the J16 method.

The two EMAs used mainly are the 365 Exponential Set to Close, and the 150 EMA also set to close.

Hey all,

So I've been following this thrad and have read through roughly the first 80 threads of it and need to ask a few questions as it is very intreaging.

Before I go throwing money at a site such as the james16 group, I'm doing my research as everyon knows must be done before investing in anything.

First of all - I understand the return on investment could potentialy be great with this method (and I use the term Method as James16 does instead of System). BUT as someone who is starting off with it and I do agree if it works and the ROI is what James16 says it is, the amount for acess to the James16 group is practicaly free, the amount being charged - $129 a month is quite large for access to his site.

So before I go throwing the $129 his way, what I would like to know is

A) How many people are currently on his forum.
B) What is the Profit to loss ration / percentage like with this method?

With almost 1,000,000 posts in this 8500 page thread (which I must say is MOST impressive and probably THE largest thread I've ever seen in a forum - and I'm a member of many forums and run 2 of my own) this method must be a great one to use.

I have a question about PPZ.


As, we know, new PPZ are always being formed on one time frame or another by consolidation areas and we know past PPZ are still active today, right?

Ultimately, where will this lead?

I mean, theoretically, if past PPZ are still valid today, with new PPZ also forming at certain price areas. Will there not come a time in the future where price has absolutely nowhere to go and just moves sideways all day. LoL

But market conditions change, financial environments change, geopolitical changes occurr and new levels emerge. . .that's the best I can do.

One thing that you've probably already heard from many of the seniors is sticking to the same timeframe you entered. Especially in the beginning when we are just trying to be consistent. Many times, going to lower timeframes just gives us more reasons to exit because of all the noise.

Thanks Danny. I will take your advise. I need to be consistant and keep it easy as possible. Reason why I tried to drop down to a lower TF was to get a better R:R. I hate to risk 100+ pips for a possible 40.
