In using the EA, 3 orders are opened. Each with the same SL (opposite side of the box). TP1 is 12 pips, TP2 is 100 pips, TP3 is 200 pips. Now I babysit my trades, so usually I will close orders 2 and 3 manually when a new S/R line forms.

I also have the EA set for a 50 pip max for box size. So my maximum risk is 150 pips. Not the greatest risk/reward ratio, but with a 12 pip TP 1, I have about an 80% win rate of at least 12 pips. But it usually does better.

I had mentioned on an earlier post, I use a different EA and strategy, but the EA can be used for the Big Dog. Lookup "A simple London Breakout V.2 or http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=247220.

Hi, just to share my LIVE result based at original rules with some own variations (to fit my risk management appetite)

for month of October
GBPUSD pair
open buy stop (High + 2.5 pips /alpari UK spread) and sell stop (Low) positions at GMT 1315
SL 10
TP 20
TS 10
closed position at GMT 1600 if positions not triggered

Win: 4 (80 pips)
Loss: 10 (100 pips)
Trailing Stop :8 (total 15.8 pips)

Total pips is - 4.2 pips

this is the first month i trade this system live.
generally for October month, the market is quite ranging.
- 4.2 pips after all is good result as this system generally do not give a big loss even during ranging market of october.
will update the LIVE results of Nov by end of the month.
feel free to give comments/opinions if there is any improvement can be made.

because this system is really can give you more.

in general
around 100-240 pips a month (thats for a whole year and not all months give same results)
max drawdown 120-200 pips

that is approximate results and you can got best if you worked best

Hi there,

I am just wondering why do you start at 7-9am, considering the NY market open at 8am ?

Why don't we use 6-8am. Thanks.
the primary reason is to catch the tail end of the European session and the beginning of the NY session, catching the tail end of the trend. When I was trading this strategy I was trading it 10-11 NY time, which for me was 7-8 PST.

Hi, I am finding with this strategy that the 7am-9am time is secondary to the trend. Meaning finding the trend is more important than the time factor.
Yes I agree with that. Always try to place your trades with the direction of the trend. When I was using this system, I rarely ever placed a pending order on both ends of the box, many times at the end of the session you will have a price reversal that will retrace enough to stop out your original entry, triggering an entry on the other side of the box only to reverse and continue the trend. It wasn't any fun being stopped out on both ends.
