Programming skills for sale

Way back in the 80's I purchased a system from the legendary Larry Williams of Williams %R fame amoungst other things. This system worked brilliantly on the S & P 500 and Bonds. If you go to his website you will see that Larry turned $10,000 into $1,100,000 in one year in a trading competition. He was using this system. I didn't make that much money with it but my more modest trading was still very profitable.
I would like to try and revive this idea and see if it works in the forex market. This was a very simple mechanical, always in the market system.
Would anyone like to try their hand at an EA for this? You may be wasting your time or you may end up with something really worthwhile.

I would agree with you in the sense of a dealing desk broker coding a strategy since the trader and brokers interest are not aligned. NDD eliminates the conflict.

But to each his own. Traders can evaluate the different options out their to have their indicators and strategies coded.

First I have nothing against FXCM as a broker as I do not trade with them and actually learned through their platform first; HOWEVER, the main reason you DON'T want any broker to program for you is they'll know your strategy and can then be able to work against you - it's simple as that. To put it simply, do you want your competitor to do the work for you in earning your money, or do you want the guys you will be trading against learn of your strategy? I don't think so.

I trade with trendlines and was wondering if someone could share some light on why i can t get the two attatched ea s to trade, they work with you drawing the trendlines manually then renaming them, for linexcutioner - UPPERline, LOWERline, and e-trendline uptrendline to LTR and downtrendline STR, trade should open on trendline break, i have tried with alpari demo account and ibfx live and demo but cant get any trades, i have allowed live trading on the ea but still nothing,

Hello all, good thread. I'm surprised I haven't seen this one before.

I am a self taught programmer. I have learned Excel extensively and more recently been coding in C#. I have completed a fully functioning C#.NET application for my own trading that trades through the FXCM Order2Go API.

The system is not for sale, but if anyone trades with FXCM and is looking for a trading system using their own strategies, I may be able to help. I am looking for programming side jobs for extra money to pour into my trading account.

I am also looking into building a C# app that acts as a 'front-end' to MT4/5, but this is a big project.

I can also do almost anything related to Excel based trading systems.

Are there any programmers here familiar with Ninjatrader 7? I have a custom Ninjatrader indicator that is in need of some bug fixes and upgrades. I also have some experimental ideas for custom indicators in mind I would like to get made.

I need an indicator written for Metatrader 4.

It would compare current price (bid or ask) each tick to a moving average (simple, exponential, etc.) on each new tick (not end of candle) and send alert (sound, email, and/or visual) if they equal each other or cross over. Visual alert (pop-up box) will indicate pair and time frame.

It would send an alert a maximum of once per candle. It would work on current chart's time frame (1minute, 5minute, etc., and up).

I may want to run multiple copies of the indicator on the same or different charts.

I would need a .mq4 file, not just an .ex4 file.
