Hi Folks, after making the first post (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?p=3947461#post3947461) about this situation the FF team decided to give Jacko some time to show up and clear his name before we took any action....

Twee my previous email account was hacked so I could not access my old profile 'sebastionay' anymore, can you link it to my new email instead please?

LOL, i cant believe that this was a scam!!

Man, after reading a chunk of this thread.....

What a [email protected]$%^$d!!

Yeah, man, DanUk uses something of Jack's method, like anti hedging technique. Hard to believe this has happened.

I started reading this thread but did not follow through as method did not look solid, no clean explanations, no charts and everything sounded very vague and only later I found that it was a scam all the way, so why Dan still uses Jacko's anti hedging ?!
I doubt this guy even showed his trading results on myfxbook so that investors could follow his trading for some time. It would be nice to see some guys posting threads here and calling shorts to really post their myfxbook real results...

Funny thing is, I've been trading the "Jacko" method for a few months now with pretty good success. A friend of mine who had followed this thread showed me how he was trading the D1 and H4 TFs successfully using fibs. Now that I've devoted a few months of time studying how it works, it's becoming one of my favorite trading methods, stress-free with little screen time compared to other methods.

Not sure about the AH method...haven't used that. The person who introduced me to this thread (before Jacko went wacko) has tried it though and he was having some success with it. Not sure if I'm ready to try the AH myself. But as far as the meat and potatoes about trading with the trend, using the 50% (or also the 61.8%) fib retracement level(s), with S&R, trend lines (and in my case stochastic and the 200ema), I don't see how this is not a good trading method (following the first few pages of this thread and the basic instructions Jacko gave at the beginning).

Best Regards,
NeoRio

Hi shiko,

I rarely visit this thread anymore since I learned about the whole Jacko scam thing but just wanted to reply as you mentioned me.

I am not going to get into a conversation or argument with anyone about whether or not this strategy works or if anyone can trade or not but what I would say is that just because Jacko turned out to be a scammer does not mean that the tools laid out here don't work.

As far as the anti-hedge technique goes I don't actually use it anymore... in fact if you read my thread (link below) my trading has evolved into a combination of methods. However, there is nothing magical about the AH technique... if you were long at 1.5000 (hypothetical example) and you felt that was valid unless price broke below 1.4500 (i.e. a 500 pip stop loss) using the AH technique meant that you would enter with a 100 pip stop as opposed to a 500 pip stop.

I am not sticking up for Jacko by any means but just wanted to clarify my position.

Regards,

Dan

Hi Dan, I am not arguing or anything. Just could not get how this guy who had following by really good traders appeared to be a scammer. Obviously some of what he posted here has sense. What i did not like is a lack of charts and too fussy explanations. I am learning to trade what you post and also NightMoves/ Hector's method which is close to what you do. trend following.

I joined jacko's second group of students in early-mid 2008. I wanted to learn how to trade and from the posts on the forum here it looked pretty good and he had a good reputation here on the forum also a J16 member would post on jacko's thread here regularly giving jacko praise.

August 2008 was the olympic games in china, Jacko would blog that he was at the games and wasn't trading at the time, also this is when the EUR/USD started going crazy.

I remember when he decided to start the fund, the initial/minimum investment one could make was $5,000. I do remember him stateing that the fund was backed by Jacko/Wayne's own money against losses and there was some kind of minimum return rate if I recall correctly. I didn't invest in the fund but did follow the blog regularly. The funds of $500 to be a member of the group were to be wired to Hong Kong and the name was not Wayne Jackson for the funds to be sent yo, (this should of been questioned).

I would like to know the the whole story on this situation and if the whole situation was a con artist or not. Supposedly there was a trader wth Wayne who was an ex-broker/trader that was making the trades for him? Was this a lie or not? Suposedly some student traveled to visit him in Hong Kong? What happened to this guy? True story or not?

From what I've seen on here regarding the fund it sounds like it was fraud?
I would like to get more of the story from people here who have knoweledge of the situation and what happened.

Thanks

Agree. It's all in there... Not very concise, but the anguish is very palpable!
I may write a paragraph on my own story and feelings about this in a few days, now that I've recovered from the emotional shock.

Well, I just stumbled upon this thread. What a shame what happened here.

I don't plan to continue reading through this thread as I have read enough; however, if anyone has info on this Jacko character, or any of his cronies, I am willing to attempt to track down more info to help those seeking answers.

All I can promise is that I will make an earnest effort to track these people down if those with info provide it. This will obviously not be a priority for me but it will definitely go on my to-do list.

I have a good amount of prior work related experience tracking people down successfully, and I would be glad to use those skills if I may be able to help some people out.

I will make all updates to this thread, if/when I receive new info.

Any information you may have will help (no matter how insignificant it may seem)

Here is what I pulled from my brief reading of this thread:

FF User Name: Jacko (also on dailyfx forums)
email alias 1: [email protected]
Stated residence: Hon Kong

alleged wife email alias: [email protected]

Potential partners/friends/associates: Phonetic; billparoli; Scotty2Cues (AKA Mr Chan from http://www.forexstrategysecrets.com/blog/an-alternative-to-hedging.htm)

blogs:
http://waynejacksonfx.blogspot.com/
http://waynejackson888.blogspot.com/...b51dbaf112f47a
https://www.blogger.com/blogin.g?blogspotURL=http://jacksonfortress.blogspot.com/

Helpful info would include:

Any other names/nicknames/alias/user IDs for Jacko and cronies
Any alternate email addresses or user profiles
Any social media presence info
Any trading reports; addresses, p.o. boxes, etc
Any personal info: (think to any stories or anecdotes that he may have used; analogies/etc.)
Any info on past/work history: he mentioned being an employer... any info? did he ever reminisce?
Feel free to send me any info that you feel might help.

I will do my best to acquire as much info on his whereabouts as possible.

Looks like Jacko put a fair bit of effort into this - long time to be paid off. Then again, he probably had others running as well.

If people send money to someone account where the guy can withdraw them it is stupid, but I see no problem if someone manages OPM by having trading access to client's account or trading FX Manager account like with Oanda.
In this case money always under owner's control. Regarding Malcolm, he is not guilty until proven so. Guy might be legitimate. The only thing I wonder is that why all these guys who post threads and method instead of only calling trades when they are successful start posting they myfxbook results.
I think this should be a must requirement for everyone posting his/ her method here. it would clean all the garbage right away.

I see. if someone is not fond of criticisms why is he posting? I wonder what would happen with him at Oanda's forum if you understand what I mean.
FF and Oanda are like two opposites. Here a lot of newbies lick butts to anyone who present himself as guru. Oanda is full of cynics and some good tarders who however do not disclose their methods.
