Hi guys, I have been demo trading this system with good results, but I do have a question....I downloaded just the V4 with no other additional indicators many of you have come up with......I understand the rules of the system, but I do not understand why when I get "the signals" either buy or sell (Above or below coral, trix crosses etc..) that trix is telling me it's overbought or oversold and the "option" is opposite of the trade when the system rules are met??

In principle the version with the highest
version number and last upload date is always the right one.

what you got: fast trix cross slow from above, both have same color, you're under cloud and under coral (fast trix is under zero too). seems to be a valid entry. maybe a little bit late. that one at 16:30 was a good one.

seems to be a little bit choppy for me and you're near of a support line. but conditions are meet.

In your latest tpl file later adopted by Neild1971 there is SAH and MTF Trix indicators stacked at the bottom of the chart. The lowest row of SAH and the highest row of MTF Trix display M5 Fast Trix. The values do not match on any chart published by Neil. Is this the way it is supposed to be? Should they not show the same color? Could we replace SAH row with a different indicator value to show additional info?
Please explain/advise as it is not really intuitive why you display seemingly the same info in 2 different places.

It's Neild's template not mine and I don't use it but I suppose that he has used the defaults which have different values for the hot paramter. I suppose the MTF trix V4 uses 1.2 which is the hot param for V4 (I dont have the source so I'm not positive) and the SAH uses .7 by default which is the hot param for V3. So what he's actually doing is making sure both the V3 and V4 trix are saying the same thing before taking a trade.

Hi, can someone please help me with Cavemanager EA, I have tried it on 4 different demo accounts but cannot get it working on any of them. All I get is "THV Cavemanager " in the top right. I have the EA button set to ON and all the settings enabled in options.

Can anyone help please?

Arun's indicator alerted me to nice set-up on the H1, this is my first H1 trade ever, hope it works out, and hope I picked a good entry, will post later on what happened. The Cavemanager ATR picked my SL and TP, not me.

I did. I figured it was bouncing of the top edge of the triangle and going for the bottom

For the last year or more I've been trying to come up with an edge or learn one. To that end I've been trying things in demo and live for quite a while.

Part of my personal problem is probably system hopping, I'll admit it. But, for me if something doesn't have a good outcome over 10 trades and I can honestly say I followed the rules and didn't make bad mistakes, like trading counter to bad news, thats enough for me to think a method isn't going to do well in the long run.

I actually found the cobra stuff a year ago and tried to use it on longer time frames, from hourly up. While it looks good on the charts, it's hard to hold on to trades in drawdown, when the chart is saying one thing and the price is saying another.

I recently decided to try scalping and thought about cobra again as I remember he said he traded 1& 5M.

Well, I gave it a whirl today just as he described in his rules and with his 50 pips hard stop and just a mental stop.

I just took only trades that agreed with price under, above the coral, on 1 M, M5, with 1M the trigger, and the higher time frames as trend reference, and paying attention to round number and s1,2,3.

I've had my best day in many weeks. 9 wins 1 Loss.

+6, -16, +5, +4, +10, +9, +11, +6, +15. +50 for the day. ALL EU, which is the only pair I trade because of the low spread.

I think I could have done even better. Looking back some of my entries could have been better had I waited for a trix cross and cloud cross at the same time on 1M. Here's hoping this wasn't just a fluke and I can keep it up reasonably well.

Go to the chart, press "F7", Click on the "Common" Tab. make sure that the major options are checked and the suboptions unchecked.
