Should I promote my service now?

Dear all,

I used to post from time to time on FF comments helping other traders. I could not use this site commercially to promote my FX service due to the FF policy. Fine with me, I've asked people to PM me if they want to use my service or buy something from me. Now, FF marked me as Commercial Member, which actually means that I am unable to send any message in non-commercial threads, thus I cannot answer any newbies questions. It seems that I can only post in this Commercial Forum like many other people who are on FX since many years. This effectively means that FF has split their forums into two parts, newbie forum where no experienced (commercial) FX person can post as they are banned through the 'Commercial Member' flag, and this Commercial forum where we can actually only promote our service without a real possibility to give advices for newbies out there.

If you ask me, this has no sense. If I want promote my service I simply use Google as I used to do it for years. I don't need FF for this. If on the other hand I am not able to comment in non-commercial threads when somebody is pushing a bull-shit, then being member of FF has no merit for me anymore.

Please FF, people who survived on FX more than few years are those 5% who everybody is searching for. You pushed these people into Commercial Ghetto leaving 95% of non-successful traders in threads where no real person, who obtained commercial success on FX is able to send a post. Does this make any sense to anybody? Would anybody would like to take discussion in FX threads knowing that only people without commercial success on FX are able to answer in these threads?!? Not me if you ask.

I truly believe that everyone starts his adventure in Forex in hope to become commercially successful with it after few years. Heck, most of newbies want to be successful after few months. Now, there is nobody who can tell them that they are only day dreaming.

"Commercial" success has nothing to do with trading profitable. There is 0 evidence commercial members have a greater W/L% than the rest of us hacks. Throwing all the commercial members in one pig pen is one of FF's best policy decisions, imho.

It is unfortunate that some outstanding commercial members; I would out you in this category, are rolling in the mud as the other (crooks), but FF policy is a very smart solution to protect the other, more naive, members.

Well, I never promoted my service on FF in the first place. I always answered questions to the best of my knowledge. Putting me in the outside world, without a warning whatever, gives me a reminder of very hard history (I was born in the communist country). I don't want to beg or something like this. I just think that this action of Twee can hurt some of members he has.

I agree, there are many commercial crocs and I do not want to protect them. Hell, they usually steal my stuff and resell it. The reason that Twee put me in the 'Commercial Member' is probably because I send him few messages that my copyrigted material is distributed on the forum. However, my intention to join FF was never to promote my service. Just the opposite, get into discussions.

In all kind of activities one always need efficient tutorial with efficient tools to stay in the business. It is the way surgeons, pilots , engineers ()...build tomorrow industry. You can't have viable futur with only newbies tools.

One day if I would'nt have had the good idea to knock at the door of efficient professionnals, I would have been parked in the 95% ghetto (referring Post 1). The problem is that you have to select the right man.
Michal Rutka has the knowledge to code very efficient edge tools. I can attest. Although I have no personnal interest with this coder, master coders don't have to bee all "parked" in "crocks areas".

Remember that efficient professionnals always need master tools from tutors to achieve success.
