Ya.. that was crazy.. Especially EUR/USD goin nuts.

Had a long U/CAD that also didn't survive now.. spike down.. spike up.. down again... Stopped at BE+2 . similar to what the AUD did..
Thinks need to settle down before I look for new trades

What was the spread on eu during the announcement? I was stopped out but the only way that could have happened is if the spread was 22 pips, that is a bit much for eu even under crazy conditions.

missed all the action. Got stopped on EU, CAD, GBP still running green.

I've seen it at 8 to 9 pips on EU on my FxPro account. But it was so fast. not sure if this was the peak. 22 sounds really a bit much.

But Dukaskopy ForexTV is showing in "Spike Controller" also those kind of spreads as maximum just after the news announced.

Pull your stops and use an EA for them if you trading during news announcements. Not entirely uncommon for spreads to spike to 50 plus sometimes.

Anyone see that new wallstreet movie...I missed it in the theaters. Watching a decent cam version while waiting. Heres the link http://www.solarmovie.com/watch-wall...eeps-2010.html

We have 2 nice projection on EURUSD,one big chanel and one min chanel,also we got Ultra high volume on uper line of chanel and expext sell for my potencial targets we will see..

Won't an EA close at the specified bid/ask regardless of the distance between them?

No. The EA is called a "trade manager" with a hidden stop.

There are others and make sure you get it worked out on demo before going live.

i have never seen 50 pip spreads on eu in the entire time i have been trading. Also this was 22 pips lower than the bid on an ecn broker.

That post is now void as far as au goes, daily close above 1.0024 and it looks like we are going higher this month.
es still hasn't reached 1200 yet, i will be watching for bearish signs once it has got there.

Do you have any thoughts on how high A/U might go at this point or is it too early to make any predictions?

Probably 1.0152 in the near term, longterm i haven't really looked lately

My range calculation for AU has one target of 1.0062 which is hit today and another one at 1.0048-76. No charts for this as it's pure geometric calculations. I would expect AU to pull back at least a bit from 1.0076 region, if taking the higher end of the range. Otherwise, the next upside target in my spreadsheet would be 1.0148, 99 and 1.0249.

That said, this AU is really a bloody sucker.With such parabolic rise, I would only wish that it would come crashing down soon!
