I will post here some simple stuff. Just for fun. Post some trades I took and the rationale behind. Most likely I will analyse the majors on 1h chart. I trade naked and try to be as simple as I can. That means no moving averages, stochastics and ^&^*& like that. Trendlines, support/resistance and candlesticks. I hope I help some people to trade better with that. Or prove to myself that my approach is completely wrong.

So here is the first. It is very simple. Get in at the green, get out at the red. Big &(*&*( red line is the stop loss. Oh no MACD, RSI, and stuff like that. For the curious...the buy signal is also confirmed buy a pin bar or hammer.. The get out signal was confirmed by a "hair" , a series of pin bars...

For the sceptics... Here is a failed one. Or breakeven. It depends how one manages.

Dont get mad at me, but candlesticks are one of the biggest jokes
in trading.....they are there just to keep you away from the PA.

A minimalist approach, but not completely naked. I enter/exit on a lower compression chart, and I stay in the trade until the trendline is breached. I use stops and keep them just below the trendline as candles develop. My approach and charts have lots of indicators that are very helpful for entry and reentry, but once in the trade, the trendline rules. I do redraw the trendline once the move goes paraballic(sp).

He did not get the point. But this journal is not about attacks and useless debates. Just posting my analysis. Everyone can have his opinion.

It is naked. I thought, naked means no indicators at all. Correct me if I am wrong.

I am not sure what this means. Perhaps it's too brilliant for me to understand...

I have been reading a thread that says naked also excludes S/R and trend lines. Perhaps I am wrong and will gladly say so.

Ok whatever. This is my definition of trading naked... Trendlines, S/R, PA, candlesticks. That is it. Oh yes. Compression/Extraction and all that stuff but that is part of price analysis (not price action) So I keep it that way.

By the way. I have started a journal with good intentions and I have received a few attacks out of the box.... Well done people.... Well done. Could you please release your anger somewhere else? Thanks.

Other thing. I will also post here some "quant" stuff. ie probability stats of various things and simulations that might be helpful in the future. That stuff is for the more knowledgeable. If I may.

I am also thinking about "optimal portfolio" and "number of units" analysis as well.

What is Compression/Extraction ?
Are you meaning such techniques as pattern recognition, as discussed here:

In trading, there is no bullshit. You either make money or you don't.

Thanks Navin. Dont worry. Some need a lot more... I have been hardened by the credit crunch I have been affected 100% as I used to work for a credit derivatives hedge fund...

Sorry mrgreen. I have awful wording sometimes. I am man of numbers not words. I mean when the price starts to range in smaller and smaller range and then breaks out with high volatility to seek a new level. Referring to inbars and their friends. And the following breakout... I meant contraction/expansion. I am sorry...
