IBFX.com during NFP report, their website is completely down. Already over 45 minutes - still down.

Back in 2008, IBfx was plastered all over FF forums, with complaints from pricing/spread to data feed.

In 2009, there weren't many IBfx posts that year. Its as if their clients left or service got better. A lot of the post were positive and encouraging new users to sign up.

2010, IBfx is plastered all over FF again with negative comments from their spread to data feed.

... IBfx is in a cycle. IBfx isn't the worst broker but there are better brokers out there.

I suggest you spend some time reading the 9000 comments sent to the CFTC.

My opinion obviously doesn't count for much so you can knock it down to 8,999 comments.

Be sure to let us know when you've loosened your leverage policy.

IBfx has variable spreads. EU ranges between 1.6 and 2.7 most of the time it is ~2.2.

Sorry, I don't watch GU so I don't what the spread is.

I am always concerned when a broker does not own their own technology and instead uses one that was designed to deal against traders - MetaTrader. Their primary goal is not to offer you a competitive product to earn in the forex market, but instead to offer you what is the most popular product to the gullible, naive retail world - MetaTrader.

Hello,

This is Ben with Interbank FX and I just wanted to clarify if there happened to be any questions on our mt4 platform or business model. We do offer the MetaTrader 4 platform for our traders. We have found that the majority of traders out there enjoy the MetaTrader platform. Though there may be some other brokers that use the MetaTrader platform and do trade against their clients, we at Interbank FX do not. We have invested over 2 million dollars this past year in to our order routing system and we do not place trades against our clients. Also, like Abigail mentioned in a previous post, you may want to check out our transparency page on our website. This gives more detailed information about our spreads and execution and we keep this updated on a regular basis.

If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us

All the Best,

Ben – Interbank FX Rep

Hi Ben,

Now all you have to do is hire customer service reps who have respect for your customers. Then maybe I'll give you my big bank.

Your reps suck!

Any proof to back this up?

Metatrader is just a platform. It's not "Metatrader's" fault that you and most newbies lose in this market.

Thanks for dropping by.

IBFX is okay, but I'm not trading there because of the spreads (which matter in the long run for a mid to high frequency trader like me). e.g. an average of 2.2 pips spread on EURUSD is unnecessary. There are better deals out there (such as Oanda who offers at least half those spreads) so why would I go to IBFX instead? It wouldn't make sense.

Mary when the system crashes and we can't get into it with a mobile platform or desktop, treat your customers like they're important.

All systems have problems from time to time with meta-trader. That's no excuse for piss poor customer service people. Interbank smiles when it's a mundane question....other times they are a pain to deal with. Pgbest is a good example of decent customer service. (not the best but acceptable)

Maybe if we keep having this conversation, you'll eventually get the messege that we can invest other places and we do.

Mary, tell your bosses....it's only going to get more competitive in the next two years. You don't have my big bank. You could! This conversation makes it a little harder for you to bring that money your way.....I feel you still don't get it.

Thanks Mary. Nice B.S. at the end Mary. A good broker will look at the records and correct them when the systems wrongs a customer.

... What?

First of all it's Marv (short for Marven), not Mary.

Second, I don't work for IBFX, lol. (I just bashed their spreads)

No WONDER customer service are treating you that way...

Have anyone experienced this spike on EUR/CHF on the Australian session? I have to mention that I have two more opened positions on this pair, one from 1.3260 level and the second from 1.2481 level. Not to mention that all my profits from the last month are cause by eurchf decrease in price.
