If your looking for a broker and not a market maker then these guys are the best damn broker period. been with them for 8 months now and you can do any style of trading with these guys no problem here bro give them a shot.

market makers, and which one is better to open a acct with??

depends on your trading style. If you are long term or position trader, no matter. But if you are short or very short term trader, some people claim market makers trade against you and you will always lose. If you are in the market for a few pips, this may be true, other than that, IMHO it doesn't make a difference to open an account with either of them. I recommend to check more important issues before opening an account like trading platform, pip spreads (again if you are position trader, pip spreads are not that important), margins, if they are payig interest on your account deposit, if they are paying interest for the currencies you trade (if you are long in a currency with higher interest rate, then they pay you interest depending on the margin you use), technical service, continuity etc.

I use Interbank FX... Love the charting & the 2 pip Euro spread!. Great for 3-5 pip scalping. Plus you get to see your trades on the chart. They've been pretty reliable for the 2 months I've had them.

I am about to open a live account with them but someone on another forum pointed out something. Occasionally there are these wild spikes. e.g. on 30m chart on 4 september 23.30, EURUSD spiked down to 1.2212, a drop of over 3 cents. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it because it was outside normal trading hours? It is clearly a glitch and it concerns me as it might stop out an open position.

I have been using IBFX for about the past 5-6 months and have been happy with them. However as you pointed out there is (still) a 300+ pip spike in all pairs at yesterdays 6:00 PM EST opening. They returned all accounts to pre- opening status. The spike still remains and obviously effects all TA indicators. There have also recently been a few times that the data connection with the server was lost for short periods of time. Less than a minute......but it seems much longer when you are trading. I have read on another forum that they are experiencing growth problems and should have these problems straightened out soon.
