Hello,

First of allI want to apologize for my broken english

May I ask you is there some diference between these charts?

I am testing my strategy on 1 hour chart but the truth is 1 hour strategy needs to spend alot of time to trade ...

And also there is maybe only 3-4 trades/month ....

People say that larger time frames are more reliable but I wonder if they would be able to tell the difference between a daily chart next to a 1 minute chart without the numbers.

When you trade smaller tf though, and presumably more often, the spread is a consideration.

Don't take this as an encouragement to trade smaller time frames. I do it mostly because I am impatient. Not a good reason.

Sure the TF matters. This all depends on what type of strategy do you use. If you want to benefit from following the big players, then shouldn't go below the daily chart. If you want to try out the magic indicators, which are actually can indicate nothing else but the level of your luckiness, then yes, go ahead and stay in lower charts.

Its easy to tell the difference between an M5 chart and a daily chart just look at the relative volatility. How many large range bars do you see on a daily chart?

Rather than thinking about time frame - which is arbitrary. Think instead about the number of pips. Is it easier to predict which direction the next 25 pips will be or the next 250 pips?

It depends on your setup, but it's probably about the same to predict 25 from the Hourly chart as it is to predict 250 from the Weekly chart.

The challenges I see from different time frames are that on fast charts, you deal with intra-day volatility, manipulation and dead times. On medium charts you have to squeeze-in your trades between major economic announcements. On slow charts, significant fundamental changes can ruin the trend you've been in for the past six weeks.

I did my homework and it looks it really matter ..

Problem is I open only about 5 positions/month while taking all trades ..... How much of trades do you do? and what is your TF?

I would care about the number of profit trades rather than total trades. I am on the Daily TF. But I have got an appropriate Trading Strategy, which provides also re-financing and also watching the news closely. Yes, it requires patience, so when I enter the market it takes usually a month or longer before I will exit, but because of that the average ratio of my deposit growth is 2.00. It took 3 years before I got in here though.
