Doctor, loved reading the 35/50 reversal trade posts you put up, really interesting stuff. I'm going to read them again later to try and properly get my head around the concept but thanks for sharing mate.

Looking out for a possible cable long move here, some reasonable confluence to suggest it may turn soon....

i went long after momentum candle with pullback to zero area but 1h candle close under 5913 so got shorted there also, got left +10 room for both trades
Also 5889 seems to be good place for long

This was a "5.00 somewhere bounce" style trade from the manual, with confluence, they should be the easiest trades to spot and to take.
It was nice trade, i like this red candle engulfing so many others

I've dropped to M5 to try and get a tight entry if we get another long move.

I cought the long as well, off M5 but used some VSA principles to take the trade so won't confuse this thread with it. You could have called it off the H1 35/50 area as well. I only took 1:1 at the M15 mas though in the end (it's a princple I do try and keep to if trading toward them) but I do suspect it's the start of bigger move. Will look to re-enter if it passes the M15 mas.

Resistance plotted on my chart at 5932 as well so will wait for it to close above and retest if it does break the M15 mas.

Price could be in range until US news, have to take partial profits so still consider adding to long possition or reverse it

Yep, always a little more cautious with my equity on a friday afternoon

Some decent entries today though, EJ long off the 4 tests of this support area looks like a good one i've missed.

Hey,

I just double checked, I am able to unzip the file and view the PDF. I recommend trying to unzip it on another computer that you may have or a friends computer. Also try redownloading the file, it could have corrupted when you downloaded it.

Well that was frustrating. I had a PO set at the 00 line on the 50 ema on EJ for a long. My Alpari feed showed it crossed by a couple of pips but then bounced straight up, thought to myself "great", more profit to end the week maybe. Went to Oanda and the PO never executed as the candle reversed one pip before the PO according to Oanda .

What a bummer.

That's me done for the week then, have a great weekend one and all. Cheers!

Ouch, yeah I am still too scared of POs to use them, for that very reason. Maybe once I'm better with areas/targets I'll feel more comfortable with them but right now they scare the crap out of me.

61.8% fib, US session low from yesterday, daily 50 MA, and 1H 62/50 are all within a few pips of current EJ price

It's friday so who knows, but can't pass this one up, it's at least worth risking the pips

I don't use them all that often but I do if I can't be around to wait for a setup to finish forming.

Look at it this way, if you can identify a great area to get in on a retrace and have a good confluence point where you would be looking to take the trade anyway, what difference does it make if you are at the screen or not? There was only one place I was interested in getting in on that move and that was where the 50 ema met a bit of ppa and the zero area. Fixed TP of 1:1 but if I were to get back in time before it hit the TP, i'd have removed it and managed the trade based on price action.

I just see them as another way to take as many good setups as we can whilst still being able to get other things done.

Great place for PO there http://cdn.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon14.gif, maybe they widen up your spreads at this moment it happen to me couple of times

yeah the Buy P.O. has to pass the entry by the spread might be the reason . it cost nothng to give them a ring though. Might be their fault.

I have missed orders by .01 with them . before it suxs .. I allow a bit for htat now days . a couple of pips one way or the other never hurts..

Cheers Ken. Sorry, meant to say that i'd allowed for the spread already but there was a 3 pip difference between Alpari and Oanda.

Shan't lose sleep over it, it's the weekend afterall!

Not sure what Fantasy Fest is but it sounds....um.....awesome!

I wondered what fantasy fest was as well, so i went to google pictures and searched it. If you get the same result as me, it seems like its people in key west getting their freak on

Wooooah! Just googled it myself. I can certainly see why Ken hasn't been about now!

He may not have been trading much but it looks like he's probably been "going long" all week!
