DislikedJeg, why be nervous? If you have a good profit, bank it and go and do something else. The markets will be open for more tomorrow. One of the first things I was told when I started looking at investments was "A profit's not a profit until it's in your pocket."Ignored
DislikedI didn't see any figure related to 1.3944. Would you please indicate? It's from template or calculator?Ignored
DislikedYou are 100% right Sheumais, my thought came from post #2486 from Gisela, if you had a position at the time, expecting to reach that target, what should she do?Ignored
DislikedIf you recalculate the close as Bobi said earlier in the thread, you will get new values of where price is headed. If you recalc the 14.55 close, it`s at 1.3842. That gives close 100% of 1.3885 which we reached a bit later, then UP 0% of 1.3885, UP resistance of 1.3909, which happens to be a "trouble" area for price as of now, and in addition a candle closing, with UP50% of 1.3914 and UP 100% as 1.3944. Hope it helps.Ignored
DislikedI used H: 1.3846, L: 1.3836 C: 1.3842 and got the figures as mentioned. Thank you very much. Any reason you choose the 14.45 (I assumed 14.55 is typo error, please correct me if am wrong) close candle for recalculation? Because it is 1st swing low after NY open?Ignored
DislikedAnd now price stopped at 1.3914 exactly! One thing seems to be though, that it`s not certain it will go to UP 100% at that time, unless it breaks UP 50%.
Example. The 10.30 M30 candle yesterday closed at 1.3800. Recalculating the close, says that Close RES is 1.3809, Close 100% is 1.3826, UP 0% is of course same as close 100%, UP res is 1.3850 and UP 50% 1.3855. The high was 1.3853, did not break the UP 50%, before it went down to 1.3734 finally, and did not hit UP target of 1.3885 until today.
Bobi can hopefully explain this though, but just...Ignored
DislikedAs a habitual lurker on FF and specifically this thread upon creation, those swing levels are spooky accurate. Tagged 3909 and retreating quickly. I have dabbled in the scalping trades in the last couple of days. I am still stunned.
The only thing that is missing is a concrete method to this madness. I feel like I'm just "lucky."Ignored
DislikedI agree. The point is that we need to know for certain which levels actually will be met or not if it breaks this and that.
Take 15.oct for example, according to the calculator it...Ignored
Dislikednow i understand your point but that is the reason why, we, as a matter of importance; and i cannot emphasize this enough, must look at other factors on the calculator to either continue after a target has being hit.
this is why Bobi said we could re-calculate after a target has being hit to determine continuation of current trend or otherwise.
the times we can re-calculate are;
1. when a target has being hit
2. when NY closed
3. before the opening of a new session
4. when we have recent swing high/swing low
or as Bobi once said, we...Ignored

DislikedTry entering a close value of any timeframe candle. Check the Swing Breakout values the calculator gives you back. Now try entering a value several pips higher or lower than the close value you just entered. You should notice the Swing Breakout values NOT changed. All the Swing Breakout values the calculator gives are resistance and support levels. Generally, as one level gets broken, price should reach the next one and so on.
Rightnow, price reached as high as 1.39445. Price will eventually reach 1.4003 since it already broke above 1.3927 (Close_Resis),...Ignored

DislikedOuch! I hope it was closed. I tend to have tight stop losses, so would have been stopped out long ago.Ignored
