Thanks, but what was wrong with the chart, and the trade that I took?..thats what I'd like someone to tell me. I took short off the line like i was suposed to do. Price tested that red fork line about 7 times before I took my trade, but like the others, they ended going against me. Getting tired of playing guessing games, especailly when I rarely "win".

Hi buddy

I think you got your answer.
I just like to add you are using too many lines & PFs , keep the one which price is respecting rest will create confusion only & behind those lines you are hiding the most important thing price bar.
Zoom out the charts & look how price is behaving in those areas & trendlines.

KEEP IT SHORT & SIMPLE (KISS).

Here are my trades I am managing now GU is based on pin bar EJ is self explanatory I covered some in EJ b/c I am not comfortable with this WRB (Wide Range Bar)rest will carry @ BE.

Happy Trading,
TAQ

Isnt this with every trading method, its all about what a trader sees. There is always a bullish a bearish setup working side by side in every market, as there are bulls and bears and a disagreement on price.
Just accept the fact that you were late to the party and missed it, but there may be another party about to start but at a different place. Please look at my attached chart and if you like tell me why you have not shorted AJ at pt A and pt B. Who was stopping you?
Ignored
I was short at pt "b"..not at the top of the line, but i was short from that area on the break down candle.

big pippin,

Trading can be frustrating, especially when you are trying to learn how to effectively use new tools that stretch the boundaries of your thinking. Median lines, or pitchforks, if you like, can be used in ways that you have not even conceived of yet. But that will come in due time and with diligent practice, not thousands, but tens of thousands of charts drawn on.

I annotated a few screen shots that may (or may not help). It is my hope it does not come across as patronizing or too remedial with whatever your experiences are with the tools involved.

fwiw,

I was looking for the long to stay inside the upward facing green pitchfork. When the 4 hour closed quite outside it the trade wasn't going as much in my direction as I had hoped. I would have had to leave it open overnight, which I didn't want to do. I still closed for around 20 pips so was happy leaving it at that. Tomorrow is another day

Was long in that area due to:

Lower side of upward fork
Median of Schiff
Resistance line from old history
Resistance line from relatively recent history
S2
Slight over extension from fall today

tbh I was surprised it fell as much as it did, this probably spooked me a little and added to closing the trade. I think it will be a good swing long mind, but I'm new to using the pitchfork, really like what I've seen so far though, definitely going to incorporate it into my trading.

ScottyBee thanks for the charts. I have a similar one for eurjpy. Question : is that the prorealtime platform, or the one incorporated in to cfd-platform like IG or other ones ?

I am still searching for an alternative to esignal.

Thanks and lets see what happens to eurusd and eurjpy this week.

Thank you for the charts.

Trading can be frustrating --> YES, VERY, especailly when you've been trading for 5yrs straight, and STILL have not been able to go full time. I wasnt trading forks for 5yrs, but still. S/R is pretty basic stuff. I draw GREAT charts...imo, so why i'm still stuck in the mud, I dont know. I have about 43,800 hrs of screen time. I calculate this off 365 x 24 x 5 . I "work" more than 8hrs in a trading day when you put into account the nights, and weekends surfing forums, drawing on charts, and everthing else.

If this were college, I'd be close to a masters degree by now.
