I was had a rough day reinstall windows and MT4 but i would like To thank Mr.Ron from chat support and the guy on trading desk (Sorry don't know his name) Who was so Patience one our phone call to reset my password
And thanks to Justin for his care to answer and help us here

Justin i have one question what all this security you put on the customer account when the trading desk keep ask me alot of question wow i felt like i was going to join CIA OR KGB from all this questions and keep running search for my saved document to answer him
But ended nice with green ++

DUDE. MB doesn't limit you to 5 million units. How many times are you gonna keep saying the same stuff that everyone keeps telling you is wrong? Don't you READ?

10,000,000 per trade...but close. Which means if you wanted to trade 50mio, you would have to enter five separate market or limit orders.

MBT is included, so I thought I'd post this here.

This survey states MBT has just under 5,000 clients with descretionary accounts who have an average profitability of 24%.

Justin, are these number correct?


What surprised me most is how few descretionary accounts there are total, across all brokers.

Also that Oanda outscores the rest of the pack by a large margin...

Thanks for the post. Can’t really comment on other brokers specifically. I will say that if you take thousands of traders, the numbers aren’t going to be that different from broker to broker if the measuring stick is the same. There’s no such thing as “5000 traders here and 10,000 traders here and 20,000 traders here and 5000 traders here” that all do the exact same statistically, but 10,000 over here that do twice as well.

Regarding number of accounts for all of the brokers, you said “what surprised me most is how few discretionary accounts” there are out there. Just to clarify. The numbers reported are non-discretionary accounts that were active in the quarter under the US-regulated entity of a broker.

So under that measure, the following are not counted (or shouldn’t be) in that list:

 

  1. Accounts through non-US brokerages for the same broker
  2. Accounts that didn’t trade for the quarter
  3. Managed accounts (including Managed EAs in MT4)
  4. Hedge Funds
  5. Institutional pools

In other words, basically what is being counted in the list is the small, individual retail trader and that’s it. We have an awful lot of EAs running managed on MT4 and a lot of managed accounts in general, plus institutional level stuff. They get drawn to our execution for obvious reasons, but we can’t count them in this number. Granted, there probably aren’t MORE of those accounts than there are retail accounts, but those are the bigger accounts and the people that have a better idea of what they are doing in my experience.

I agree that the percentage differences of successful traders would have to come down to accounting method. There really isn't any other logical explanation for that large an anomaly.

I understand what you're saying about the percentage of retail traders that comprise your total business. I wasn't commenting on the scale or success of MBT. I just would have put the number of retail traders higher in the US.

quite common

even if the stop limit order is a spread of up to 8 points

1. I have a forex account with MBT and I am thinking about opening a Stocks trading account with MBT. How easy and fast is it to transfer funds between forex and stocks account? Will I need to send you some kind of documents every time I move funds or can it be easily done online? Is there a minimum amount that must be constantly on stocks account?

2. Is information on the Level 2 screen for stocks real and real time or is it some artificially made feed?

3. Great Britain is missing from the list of countries for stock accounts. Is it true? If it is, what is the reason?

4. Do you have any news/updates on the development of your mobile platform?

Sorry for the delay, I never got a notice about this post.

1. Unfortunately, its required that you withdrawal your funds to transfer them between FX and EQ. Internal transfers are only available for FX to FX accounts or EQ to EQ accounts.

2. Real-time data.

3. We don't accept accounts from Great Britain at this time.

4. Only update I can provide is "coming soon" - I've seen the current version and it is very sharp. Should have more information in coming weeks.
Thanks Justin. I am very surprised about accounts from GB, especially since you accept applications from the rest of EU and you also accept forex application from GB. Why is GB so different and do you have any plans to change that in the near future?

You mentioned transfers are available from FX to FX, can you transfer from navigator to mt4 or do you have to open another account in mt4? Thanks for you help.

Jim,

MT4 and Desktop accounts are two separate accounts, however you can easily move funds between the two using our internal transfer forms.
