at the end of a trendcycle many long term stoplosses get triggered. this can make for huge corrections before the next cycle establishes ....

GBPNZD is an exotic pair but I find this signal looks good, price breaks out and gave TC.

Here is a trade I got involved with. It can be watched on Windows Media player as well as Media Classic Player.

This was done on my brokers MT4 platform that is GMT+0. It differs 2 hours candle close with the Alpari UK. Thanks

Great to see you back!

I was watching the same trade setup but I moved my trend line and didn't see the retrace. 100 pip stop is a little to much for me.

Are you trading your 5 min. system that is here on the forum or is it a different 5 min. system?

I had a look at your trades and it is nice when you get trades like that on a market that is moving. If you add to your posision like you did just watch it when the market starts to run out of steam. Then it is decision time. Close some positions at a certain stage and know when to close all of them.

Admittedly, MACD's and MA's were not my thing before. But you Phillip, have shone some light on how to use the MACD in an unorthodox way.

I have had great success with this method using the daily timeframe for signals and the 4hr/1hr for entries.

See my charts. First is the daily with 2 entries I took from two consecutive TC patterns. Hourly chart shows I got a good HL entry for the first trade. 4hr chart shows my second entry off a nice BOZ.

Made some very nice pips from these two trades. More than my monthly target, and I spent very little time in front of the screen (why I use the daily due to time constraints).

Thank you again Phillip for sharing your method. I am having some great results. EDIT: Just realized my entries are labeled wrong on the charts. Sorry, they should be swapped around.

Yeah, Philip shared a great strategy.
I'm using MACD H4 and it replied me good results.
I think patience and rules are 2 important factors in this strategy.

2:1 Risk Reward. TP at the 21 (also 200), SL at the swing high. Though I realize now I should have waited until the close of the RT candle. Otherwise, does this look correct?

long time since i use this strategy but it seems likes the trend is up? hence price will not find support at 21MA; you are trading a counter trend instead.

Correct me if I am wrong for the original post that this was a reply to but I do believe they were long and exited on the RT at least thats what I get out of the chart maybe Im wrong its been a while since I traded and looked at this system but I have back tested it and know what its capable of so Im trying to get back in to trading and again look at this system.

i think he is trying to short with target to the 21EMA, or am i wrong? if counter trend ( i forgot the definition of it here) then it shd be to the 8ema instead of 21ema
