i don't know how many ppl can truly appreciate your tips. they really are really, really good. i mean REALLY good. if you do NOTHING with your life but just camp out looking for these trades on big lots, you will WIN.

on a side note, on the retraces during a trend, you used to take the trade when the fast trix changed to the same colour of the trixes on the 5m and 15m. it seems now, you are taking the trade when the fast AND slow trix both changed to the same colour as the 5m and 15m trixes. is there a reason for that?

in your pictures above, taking the trade at the fast trix change of colour would have been slightly better.... just curious.

edit: u mentioned you only do this on the e/u. and have haven't tried it on the others. is there a reason why think it won't work on the others?

Is it possible that there is not a single perfect setup during your trading session?
How many have you seen the perfect setups that suddenly went wrong?
What is your successful hit rate (winning/loosing trades)?
You mentioned before that you close 1 lot at 10 pips and let the rest ride.
How do you determine that it`s time to close the rest of the lot? ADX?

Yes you are right that usually I take those trades when the 1m fast trix changes. But that blue MA is the 1440 ma (the 288 on the 5m, which was part of the original THV template and the 24 on the 1 hr chart - that is it is the daily median and the EUROUSD often bounces off of it as
you can see that it did. So I wanted to see it broken and retested before taking the trade. I don't know if this trade works on other pairs - haven't tested it.

This is a great example as to why you have to monitor support and resistance levels with any trend-following system like THV. Even when all your indicators line up perfectly, and there has been a very strong trend, you will very frequently see hesitation at major S/R level. There may be hesitation and continuance, or price could reverse, a little or alot. We just don't know so those levels are good for entry when broken and confirmed, and they are also great places to take some profit.

My success rate over the previous year was close to 80%. However this is not the only setup that I take. It is possible that you wont see this particular setup during one trading session but there are usually a couple of double rainbow flips a week. If there is a strong trend the 5m may not flip. Then you may have to be satisfied with just waiting for things to get good and compressed and then trading the 1m rainbow in the direction of the strong trend. Of the really perfect looking ones, truthfully I cant remember even seeing one go wrong. Really perfect means that you have -
a fresh 5m cross

and

-a fresh 15 m cross ( not just a failed attempt to change direction but where the trix has actually crossed in the opposite direction and crossed back)

and

- both trix have a nice distance between the lines
and

-
the trend in the previous direction ended with a recognizable pattern like h&S or double top/bottom with divergence

and

- you have that pizza pie like shape fanning out on both rainbows with at least three layers visible on the 5m and all layers visible on the 1m

and

- you are taking the retrace is a a moderate distance

and

the fast trix is above zero or near it for a short and below it or near it for a long and the slow trix is not in ob (for a long) or os (for a short) or steeply slanted against the trade but preferably flattening out near zero

- and the retrace hasnt turned the 5m trix histo against the trade.

Now this one doesnt come along that often, most of the less perfect looking double flips also work but so far I can't remember seeing this one fail if all these conditions are met. The reason is that the only way you can get this particular look of having both the rainbow in that expanding pie shape together is when the pair has bounced off of something and then consolidated and then is just starting out moderately but with decent momentum in the other direction. Here's a picture of a near perfect long and short.



Notice the differnce in the first screen how the blue double flip in the first screen shot. Even though it works for 10 pips at the point where you take the first retrace of the fast trix you don't have 3 layers of the bottom rainbow showing and expanding. At the point where you do have that the fast trix is already red. Also you dont have a fresh cross of the 15 m trix




For the second lot I dont have any set method . I usually trail the stop manually behind where I think the support/resistance is.

It's the defaults in my new version, attached.

This version adds the following types

ePeriodType 33 - 3 MAs in order (instead of four)
Same as type 26 except uses 3 MAs without checking if they are above or below the coral

Red when all MAs in order - MA1 below MA2, MA2 below MA3. Vice versa for green.

ePeriodType 34 - 3MAs narrow&expanding
Same as type 33 except also checks if the distance between MA 1 and 3 is less than the value specified in Channel and is expanding.

Red when all MAs in order, MA1 below MA2, MA2 below MA3,and the distance between MA1 and MA3 for the current bar is less than the specified channel and the distance between MA1 and MA3 for the current bar is greater than for the previous bar. Vice versa for green.

ePeriodType 35 - DI& min vals
Red when minus DI is above plus DI and greater than DI min val and ADX is greater than ADX min val. Vice versa for green.

ePeriodType 36 -3MAs narrow
Same as type 34 but doesnt check if the mas are expanding.

Red when all MAs in order, MA1 below MA2, MA2 below MA3 and the distance between MA1 and MA3 for the current bar is less than the specified channel. Vice versa for green.

ePeriodType 37 - 4MAs narrow";

Same as type 36 but for four MAs

Red when all MAs in order, MA1 below MA2, MA2 below MA3,MA3 below MA4 and the distance between MA1 and MA4 for the current bar is less than the specified channel. Vice versa for green

This system really looks rewarding, i would love to use this system on demo account for sometime, and will keep posting my P/L here,

I run the templates and indis, that are really wonderful, its obvious that huge work is done by you people, special thanks to Cobra, and other contributors here.

I am using 4 hour chart for thv version 3

It look like a "Short" signal on EUR/USD.
However, it didn't crossing the Thv3 coral line.
What did you think?

Wouldn't use 4H coral for an entry signal, could be far to late.
