DislikedMe too... I ain't got a clue either...
.. what does EA stand for? What is Mt4?....See?Ignored
DislikedUnder normal circumstances, this kind of idiotic post gets the poster banned and, usually, hanged drawn and quartered before being shot - all of this in front of a warmly-applauding audience of FF contributors.
I am in a good mood tonight and so will merely provide Educational Elucidation, so:[list][*]EA: Extra-terrestrial Activation[*]Mt4 is often incorrectly written as such. It should be MT4 and is a convenient shorthand for a highly secret scientific development codenamed Matter Transfer For All. Shhhssssshhhh. Say nothing. Just...Ignored
QuoteDislikedWe all think ea trading is a rubbishy waste of time. That is why we all devote so much time to developing them.
QuoteDislikedPS: While I was buzzed on a nice Oktoberfest dark lager last night I did some genetic surgery and grafted The Beast onto LibOrderReliable4. If it works, Da Beast may fail a little less with TradeContextBusy etc errors. I'll post if it doesn't blow up next week.
DislikedI hear everyone talking about how good this EA is. Has anyone backtested it over several years and with model quality 90% or higher? Also, has anyone using it live encountered disconnects, error messages and/or trade context busy? It is to my understanding that MT4 was designed to be able to be manipulated. I will admit I used to be an MT4 lover. I still use MT4 but only for charting purposes. My experiences of trading on MT4 is asking for trouble, especially when leaving the trades up to an EA. I found my profitable EA's being "shutdown" or the...Ignored

Hehe. That was fun. Now, 2+2=4ex, kindly stop insulting the seriously clever people contributing here by implying that everything you write is news to them. Then stop insulting the less-experienced but equally clever traders for the same reasons. Then stop insulting all the dipsticks who would make their equally daft-to-yours contributions were they only allowed to. That would be my job.

DislikedAs I read that post I was wondering what kind of response it might get from you....Ignored
DislikedJust found this thread...and have read through many pages from the beginning...looks like a profitable EA has been created by some brilliant minds! Before I go testing this Beast...are the appropriate files and settings still located on the 1st post or is there a file or two hidden within the pages of this thread that I need to locate and utilize?Ignored
QuoteDislikedNo, of course we don't. We all think ea trading is a rubbishy waste of time. That is why we all devote so much time to developing them.

DislikedMy thinking is that scalping with EAs is difficult and easy to manipulate by broker delays, price movement and higher spreads. With EA strategies based on 1hr and 4hr its unlikely to be subject to manipulation. Take away stop losses or place them 100s of pips away and these less opportunity for stop loss hunting. I think EAs based on higher time frames make good sense as the level of sensitivity, margin of error can be greater without getting burned as lot sizes are smaller

Disliked2+24ex: I know Steve razzed you about telling us the obvious but if you have constructive suggestions & experience on alternative programming & execution environments that may be useful.Ignored
DislikedWow. Steve, with all due respect, I am shocked at your reply to my comment. I think you totally misunderstood what I was saying. I wasn't trying to enlighten, insult or belittle you or anyone else on here. I was just merely posting my experiences and hoping to get responses from others to see if they've had similar experiences as I did. I think you misunderstood the manner in which I started the first sentence about everyone saying how good the EA is. Apparently you mistook that for an attack on your work and went off on me from there. Well I wasn't...Ignored
DislikedGuys, now it is weekend there is a new must-read thread for you. Go to lawgirl's thread at http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=257876, which takes David's 4H Trendline Scalping system to a new level.
There is no need to read the whole thread unless you want to. The details are in post 1 and they are very easy to grasp. Read the first 10 pages or so to see a few of lg's charts to make sure you have grasped the point, then skip to the end.

DislikedWhy were you shocked?
Basically all posts fall into one of three categories:
1. Positive - Includes an idea, suggestion, some data, useful tip etc
2. Neutral - Usually 'thank you ...', 'I am going to start ...', 'how do I ...' etc
3. Negative - No help whatsoever, misunderstood assumptions, didn't bother to read the thread etc
Steve (& the rest of us) intensely dislike posts falling into number 3, which yours clearly was.
This is not a beginners thread - Steve's unique form of moderation means that it remains readable.
By all means post...Ignored
