Long at .9965. I was looking for a bounce out of .9950/60 area. I'm looking for a retest of parity.

DislikedYeah I'm thinking the same thing, perhaps I was trying to be a bit greedy with my entry. (Thinking on both sides of the coin...its been a weakness in my past and I thought I had stopped doing it).
I felt a bit uneasy about it a while after I entered, so I left the trade at break even.Ignored
DislikedHi guys,
Just wondering with the upcoming announcement (or non announcement) by the FED of the QE2 strategy - what impact will this have on this pair.
The saying buy the rumour and sell the news comes to mind.
So assuming the equity markets don't like the news and correct (or tank) - what is the likely impact on the AUS/USD?
- $$ goes to Gold which in term increases the AUD?
- $$ goes to USD as risk aversion reduces?
Help!!!Ignored

Its going gangbusters..
As for the currency.. when you have interest rate differentials of 4.25% Aussies favour why park it elsewhere.
Its going up and those who talk of overvaluation arent seeing the big picture..Ignored
Disliked$525k per year to weld. Oh yeah, that makes sense. No wonder the government has jacked everything up. Like I said before, inflation on many things went up 50% over a single year. The government there is just trying to suck up every dollar they can for themselves. There are far more people out there that don't make anywhere near this kind of money in Australia. No wonder they're such grumpy wankers!Ignored
DislikedThe big picture is this...
Asian economies are growing.. they need our resources and no doubt food which will be our next major export..
Im sure the Australian economy will make mistakes but they also need to use the income and build infrastucture.. redirect water etc..
The next few decades will be prosperous whilst India, China and the rest of Asia grow.. Once the tap is turned off then Yes we may have caught th American disease. Make hay while the sunshines.Ignored
