you know, i waited it and waited it and waited it out. i was in that on half a full lot. so 25pips.

but i am seriously seriously sitting here like an idiot. i might have to take a break.

the ONLY reason i got out b4 that huge spike just now, is because of the opposing adx on the 5m closed in a bit. should i have waited?

oh geez... i'm taking a break. be back in 30m

on an important note..... i want to run this by you tread...

i found a way to make the work flow much easier.

i've put the 6 currencies i am trading on the 1m. and each chart has the adx on 1m, 5m and 15m. so i just flip through each one every 5 minutes.

only the ones where the adx on all 3 tf looks good, then i further analyze.

this saves a lot of time and effort.

what do u think?

First of ...you did the right thing... that's 25 pips @ 0.5 lots ....banked!! Did you see the huge retrace after, it drop 32 pips.

Also we were at the start of the session, volatility can get wicked.

Settling down to start trading , so ill be back on about 8am est. Forums are too distracting when trading. Tho in just watching the charts, I up about 200pips just based on those 2 GBPUSD trades.

It sounds good... start with the EMA and ADX and Filter Higher TF Trix... work down to lower TF Trix ..... watch for resistance/support at that time...place trade. One bit of advice ..... go into the trade with an idea of the TP you are looking for. When the market starts to move you do not have to have that mental conversation about targets. Usually i judge the initial TP before the next major resitance/support ...or between 10/15pips

I want to use in M1 THV4 Cloud and Swiss Army 4.41 with lines at width 1. When i change to M5 they are back to width 0. Does anyone know why? I have the same problem with #KG Support and Resistance Alert. The only indicator that keep my setings is MACD _SMA_alert_v2

why doesn't anybody EVER post?

the only thing i ever see are ppl who have questions to make their templates work (like me),

or pictures of trades that already have been finalized.

what about the other hundreds of ppl always on this thread? they must have some comment or opinion. why don't we ever get: "yeah! i made 150 pips today!" or "this ain't ever going to work...it's too hard"

a lot of ppl just have template questions and then disappear forever....

how about a poll? if your making money as a result of this thread, at least type a post like: "yes. happy."

edit: or "NO. bad"

true that, there were like 50 people at a time alwas, but only 10 p. are always posting something but for those 10 people thise thread is alive!
and yes im making money!

Long term doing great

I suck at scalping even with all new stuff discussed. I think its because I dont have the screen time to evaluate.

For the long term I trade the daily and even the weekly charts and have been making consistant profit, it takes time but it works.
Look at something long enough, you will eventually get it.

My opinion is that there is too much effort put on indicators tunnig and less on trading itself here.
What I would appreciate more is, for example: "Nice HS formation on M30 and then perfect THV setup on M5 and ..50pips earned." With a chart of course.

But if this is the way how this thread should go, no problem. I'm just a guest here.

I start using this sistem 2 days ago and it's working. When i decide to buy/sell first i look at THV and if it's confirmed by other indicators i take the decision. In atach my chart with 2 good trades with 60 pips profits.

It is a shame you are not going to post anymore. Thanks anyway for all your posts, indicators, and strategies shared.

@ Chiba San, yes unfortunately many people do view the thread but never speak or comment. This is just the way it happens. But fortunately we have people who continue to post and continue to help others out because they remember that when they started out other people helped them. These people are the genuine people to look out for. You know who you are.

Ah the age old question..... price action vs indicators ....so i guess you want to see price action setups that can be used to trigger the indicator based THV?


Bit of a misnomer won't you say?

Lets say I got a pattern recognition indicator to detect Candlesticks patterns, i guess once I am quoting the like of "dark cloud" or "harami" then that is okay?

Or better yet ... a nice falling wedge drawn with trendline? I guess my EMA lines are waaay to indicator based than the trendline ya'll would draw.

And i guess you would prefer to hear about doji and reversal bars whereas I say compression and breakout.
