This is my first post....I'm new to all of this and wanted to pick someones brains on a pinbar finding on a Daily Chart. Please forgive my ignorance if I didn't pick up the reason for my question. I see the pinbar was set and the trend was forming short but why didn't it continue? Also, I want to thank all who contributes in this forum and especially in this one. The knowledge base sharing here is unlike anywhere else.

Yeah, I am demoing to take trades on retracement.. but on the confirmation of PA.
Yes. It would be ideal if the price breaks PA and retraces, then forms another PA on lower TF.. this would be the ideal scenario and the most safest scenario.

Assuming both PA's are good in shape and size complemented by location.

i was supposed to say 'certain levels' (.25, .50,.75 .00 levels) instead of 'pivot points'. (somehow i mixed it up with Shimodax's other indicator -- SDX TzPivots)

Welcome hpagan,
im not sure which pinbar u are referring to?

the main reason/answer to your question is supply (resistance) & demand (support). the trend was at an end because there was enough demand/support at that area.

Hey jarroo! Yeah I was out of Bangkok on work, so was not trading for a long time.

probably 80.00 BRN could be the bottom, but this pb looks good for some quick pips, deosn't it ??

Well the Adidas trade didn't work out as expected, but the Man AG trade is going my way. Took the trade off a beautifull daily PB rejected @ BRN 8000. I'am anticipating that the BRN @ 7500 will hold as support, price now has reached the daily PPZ @ 7600 and stalled. What a BUMMER, price hit my SL and stopped me out out. Total profit 120 pips. As I told previously I should have closed this trade last friday when price hit the BRN @ 7600 and my profit was nearly a whooping 300 pips. This level was also a strong daily PPZ where price eventually stalled and reversed now. The lesson learned here for me is not to be to greedy wanting to bank every pip I see. In hindsight I should not even be surprised at all that price stalled @ the 7600.http://cdn.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

E-C, nice 1H-PB at a proven strong daily PPZ/FIB/RNB @ 13400, FTA 4H-PPZ @ 13435, entry on a much lower TF on the pullback of 1H-PB. Quick full profit at FTA, nice and simply all thanx to James.

Another nice PB with the trend (more like a indecision bar) off a daily PPZ/RNB/Fib @ 13100, entry on a much lower TF on the pullback of the PB. FTA @ 13055-ish, aiming for the 13000-ish.

The euro generated last thursday a nice PB, I was looking for a pullback to preempt the PB-break but I didn't get any clear PA at the levels of interest and also the NFP were coming up so lost interest. Last friday price generated a IPB, price is at the moment rangebound on the lower TF roughly between the 13850 and the BRN @ 14000. On the 4H-TF we saw a small PB at range resistance during the asian session, this could have been a nice short oppertunity for a rangeplay. For now price is likely to stay in this range.

Cable gave us last thursday on the daily a very strong PB, the only problem was that this PB was trading right into a proven weekly PPZ @ 15835. I tried to preempt a possible PB-break on a pullback to the RNB @ 15900, I got my shorttrigger on the 1H-TF and closed my position when price stalled at the weekly PPZ as anticipated. For the moment price is likely to move between the RNB @ 15900 and BRN @ 16000.
