I just add a date code to each version I download, so then I have an automatic version system.

For instance a version of The Beast downloaded today would become 'The Beast 101010.mq4' (month,date,year)

If there is more than one version on the same day the next one would become 'The Beast 101010-1.mq4' etc

Very useful if you want to look back at something.

I had a few minutes to spare, so I have added a hedging module - you will see the relevant inputs if you scroll down.

Unseen by the user is a D1 Rsi filter. TB will only send hedge trades if the trend has moved against the original trade i.e. Rsi > 55 for uptrend and <45 for downtrend.

Coders who want to remove this, go to void HedgingModule() and comment out the filter code.

Once into hedging, TB should take no further trades and look to close the position at BE. The code might not be watertight.

Have fun. I am off to do some teaching.

Can anybody explain how one can use this strategy in TREND?

If you go back 1 month on EU pair, and keep selling

"tops" in couple of month account equity will go to 0$

Or EURCHF?? drop without retrace. This would work only in range.

Idea is good, but you need 1mil $ and trade like 0.10 lot, especially with coming

50% leverage limitation.

I'm very confused. I though MPTM was coded into the EA.. then we do we need to still upload it to a chart??

The most often used bits are. If you want more sophisticated management, then you have to load it separately and turn off all TH's management facilities. It all depends on what you want to do.

Hi Steve,
I'm on my usual 4-digit broker and getting 5 digit numbers showing for JPY pairs on ReEntryLinePips.
The others look correct....

Everything seems good so far, however I just noticed the breakeven is not getting to 30 at 40 as I expected from the BE configuration. Although profit at the minute is about 45 pips the SL is set to BE only.

See attached example of the current EurChf.

Actually as I was writing this SL jumped from BE to 30 when profit hit 60 pips. Hmm.. I'll need to have another look at the config.

I have been running this hedging function in backtest mainly on the EURUSD pair as I wanted to see if it assisted with the Dec 2009 pa that recovery alone can't handle. Sure enough it assists big time - but only if the RSI filter is turned off. For what it's worth I found the following config worked best for EURUSD...

- Primary trades only
- Recovery 1.1.2.4
- Re-entry line pips set at 150
- Hedging to kick in at 400 pips

If the RSI filter is left on it will not hedge at the crucial December 2009 trades.

Steve, it seems that the combo of recovery and hedging may be a touch of genius. I'll check how it treats other pairs.

Did you manage to solve this? I have been having this very same issue. When price moves + 60 pips the jumping SL functions kicks in and moves the stop to + 30, but the BE 40 & BE profit 30 is not working. I have been checking and double checking my settings and i cant find the problem.

Is anyone else having this problem?

No yet. But I think the 60/30 is coming from the jumping Stop configured to 30.

By the way I am not using the seperate mptm so perhaps it should be used.
